Mike Popa General Manager T&T Marine Salvage, Inc. Great Lakes Response Center He has over thirty five years of experience in oil and hazardous materials spill response and marine salvage and has partici- pated in numerous major environmental response operations. In 1989 he was a team member that responded to the M/T BAHAIO PARISO in Antarctica, later that same year he headed the team that lightered the remaining forty million gallons of oil that remained on board the grounded M/T, Exxon Valdez. After the lightering operation was complete Mike then participated in the oversight of cleanup activities in Prince William Sound. In 1991, Mike was part of the United Nation’s International Maritime Organization Team and participated as a member of the Inter-Agency Assessment Team that dealt with the massive oils spills that were unleashed during the Persian Gulf War (Desert Storm). In 2005, Mike was chosen to report directly to the USCG Commanding Officer who was tasked with responding to the multiple oil spills caused by Hurricane Katrina. In 2010 he was part of the T&T Marine Salvage Management Team for the BP Deepwater Horizon near shore and offshore booming and recovery operations. That same year he responded to the Kalamazoo River Marshall, Mi Oil Spill. Mike also has extensive experience in submerged oil recovery, and was the project manager Trent Wetmore Director, Superior Region Operations Enbridge Energy Trent Wetmore has been with Enbridge since 2007 and is currently the Director of Operations in the Superior Region. He is accountable for the safe and reliable operation of Enbridge assets across Minnesota and portions of Wisconsin and Michigan. During his time with Enbridge, Trent has taken on roles of increasing responsibility within the organization, including leadership positions in Operations, Major Project, and Project Development. When Trent joined Enbridge in the Project Development role in Cushing, Oklahoma, he played a key role in the initial scope and cost development activities of numerous projects across the organization. In 2010, he transferred to a Project Manager role where he was responsible for the successful construction of a major tank farm expansion project which added 22 new above ground storage tanks within Enbridge’s Cushing crude oil storage facility. In 2012, Trent was transferred to the Manager of Regional Services and Development role within the Midcontinent Region, where he was responsible for the Engineering and Construction efforts throughout the region. In October of 2014, Trent transferred to his current role of the Director of Operations in the Superior Region and is based in Superior, Wisconsin. Prior to joining Enbridge, Trent held a variety of roles at two other pipeline companies, across Oklahoma, Texas, Kansas, and Illinois. He has more than 15 years’ experience focused in the oil and gas industry, with emphasis in engineering and project management functions. Trent graduated from Kansas State University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mechanical Engineering. Outside of work Trent enjoys helping coach sporting activities and is active in numerous outdoor activities including golfing, fishing, hiking, and hunting. Bob Lehto, MPH, CIH, ROH, CSPIndustrial Hygiene Specialist, LP Health & SafetyEnbridge Energy

As the Industrial Hygiene Specialist within Enbridge Liquids Pipelines Business, Bob provides subject matter expertise in thefields of occupational health and safety. Bob has diverse experience in the areas of public health and the environmentalhealth sciences. His specialties include human exposure assessment, population risk analysis, and hazard control and mitigation techniques. This includes monitoring of physical, chemical, and biological agents in the occupational and publicenvironments. Bob is also well versed in the areas of toxicology, epidemiology, and environmental chemistry. Bob holds certifications in safety and industrial hygiene from the American Board of Industrial Hygiene (CIH), Canadian RegistrationBoard of Occupational Hygienists (ROH), and the Board of Certified Safety Professionals (CSP). He also owns a Bachelor ofScience degree in Chemistry from Lake Superior State University and a Master of Public Health degree from the University ofMichigan School of Public Health.Prior to Enbridge, Bob held a broad array of roles in private practice consulting and industry, including Shell and Marathon.He has approximately 10 years’ experience focused generally in the oil and gas industry, and specifically in the areas of health,safety, and the environment.Bob is proud native of the Upper Peninsula of Michigan. In his free time Bob enjoys hiking, fishing, boating, and nearly allforms of recreating around areas of Northern Michigan.

Ralph DollhopfOn-Scene CoordinatorU.S. Environmental Protection Agency

Mr. Dollhopf has served as an On-Scene Coordinator for USEPA’s Emergency Response Team since 1985. He is EPA’s PredesignatedOn-Scene Coordinator for Michigan’s Upper Peninsula and northern half of Lower Peninsula.He has helped to lead EPA’s responses to nationally significant events including EPA's cleanup of residential methyl parathionsites in Ohio, Illinois, Michigan, and Mississippi (1997-1999); World Trade Center (2001); Washington DC anthrax attacks(2001-2002); Columbia Space Shuttle Recovery (2003) and Hurricane Katrina (2005).Mr. Dollhopf represented EPA in the inter-agency drafting of the original National Response Plan and National Incident Management System and has since taught and led effective implementation of ICS by EPA.From July 2010 thru August 2013 he served as the EPA Federal On-Scene Coordinator (FOSC) during EPA’s response to theJuly 2010 Enbridge Line 6B Discharge into the Kalamazoo River.Currently stationed in Traverse City, Michigan, he holds Psychology and Environmental Engineering degrees.

David VervedaDirector, Infrastructure Integrity, Pipeline IntegrityEnbridge Energy

Working within Enbridge’s Liquids Pipelines Business Unit, David is a Director in the Pipeline Integrity team. David hasaccountability for many strategic focus areas of Pipeline and Facilities Integrity, including integrity strategic planning, integritytechnology advancement, industry advocacy in the area of integrity, integrating integrity concerns into the overall asset planningand management processes, and sponsoring unique integrity projects.David is a registered Professional Engineer in Alberta and has a B.Sc in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Alberta. David joined Enbridge in 2011, in the Engineering group. In this role David led a team responsible for managing a portfolioof growth and sustaining capital projects in Canada. In 2012 David transferred to Field Operations, where he was responsiblefor all aspects of Field Operations in the Western Region, including safety, facility and pipeline repair and maintenance, emergencyresponse preparedness, security management, environmental management, project management, support and integration,external stakeholder interface, and system support.Prior to his employment at Enbridge, David held a variety of roles in other companies including Suncor, Petro-Canada, QatarLiquefied Natural Gas among others. He has approximately 25 years’ experience focused generally in the oil and gas industry,and generally in the operations, engineering and project management functions.In his free time David spends the summer cycling, running, camping and hiking, and the winter playing hockey, downhilland Nordic skiing.

Harold is a Community Assistance and Technical Services Project Manager for the Pipeline and Hazardous Materials SafetyAdministration (PHMSA) in the Central Region Office located in Kansas City, MO. Harold began his public service career inKansas City, Missouri as a CATS Project Manager in 2003. He is currently a member of the Common Ground Alliance TechnologyCommittee, a member of the public awareness program working group (PAPWG) for PHMSA and was a task force member ofthe Pipeline and Informed Planning Alliance (PIPA). Harold’s duties include sharing information with different stakeholderaudiences to increase pipeline awareness and knowledge, increase damage prevention awareness, increase public awarenesscommunications and increase pipeline safety. Harold has a Bachelor of Science Degree in Electrical Engineering from the University of Missouri at Rolla and a MBA in Businessfrom Webster University.

Eric J. Anderson, Ph.D.Physical Scientist - OceanographerNOAA Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory

Dr. Eric Anderson is a physical scientist and oceanographer at the NOAA Great Lakes Environmental Research Laboratory inAnn Arbor, MI. His work focuses on hydrodynamic modeling in the Great Lakes and connecting channels, with special emphasison the development of operational forecast models to predict currents, temperature, water levels, ice, and waves in real-time. Thesemodels support navigation, search and rescue operations, contaminant tracking, drinking water safety, and ecological forecasting.

Kori Patrick Sr. Manager Risk ManagementEnbridge Energy

Kori has been working in the energy industry for the past 19 years as a Mechanical Engineer. Since completing his Master’sin Business at the University of Alberta, he has worked with Enbridge for the past four years to enhance their risk managementprogram. His team provides estimates on worst case discharge and other risk related information to enhance the safety ofEnbridge’s pipeline system.

Steven KeckContingency Preparedness SpecialistUSCG, Sector Sault Ste. Marie, MI.

Steve is a native Michigander who hails from Petoskey Michigan. He currently serves as a Contingency Preparedness Specialistfor the USCG; Sector Sault Ste. Marie. He is a Master Exercise Practitioner and specializes in plans and exercise development.He is responsible for coordination with maritime stakeholders to identify and mitigate hazards, enhance preparedness andstrengthen emergency response and recovery capabilities in the Sector’s area of responsibility. Steve served 24 years in the USAF in a variety of positions to include Military Training Instructor, Presidential Airlift, NATOHeadquarters, Reconnaissance and Security Forces. His overseas assignments include Germany, Italy, and Japan along withtwo combat tours in Saudi Arabia and Bosnia. His degrees include a Bachelor of Arts in U.S.

Peter ManningDivision Chief of the Environment, Natural Resources, and Agriculture DivisionMichigan Department of Attorney General

Peter Manning is the Division Chief of the Environment, Natural Resources, and Agriculture (ENRA) Division in the MichiganDepartment of Attorney General. The ENRA Division represents three state departments: the Departments of EnvironmentalQuality, Natural Resources, and Agriculture and Rural Development. The division also handles Native American matters, andrepresents ratepayers in utility proceedings. Peter also serves as the Practice Group Manager for the Environment and RealProperty Practice Group, and as the department’s Emergency Management Coordinator. He has been with the AttorneyGeneral's office for 20 years. He has a bachelor's degree from Michigan State University and a law degree from the Universityof Michigan.
