Baseball Football Basketball

Leadoff hitter – high on-base percentage, stolen bases

Offensive line – protects quarterback, blocking packages for running back

Point-guard – ball handling, distribute basketball, run offense

2nd and 3rd place hitters – make good contact , good batting average, able to advance runners

Quarterback – runs offense, distributes football to skilled players (i.e. wide receiver, running back)

Small forward – extend defense, good outside shooting, ability to drive to basket

Clean-up hitter – power, able to drive runners in

Skilled players (wide receiver, running back) – strategically placed, receive football and attack defense utilizing strength/speed combination
