Software engineering (SE) is the application of engineering to the development of software in a systematic

method.

Our staff dedicated to the analysis and design of new systems and mobile apps has their own

Asset integrity and O&M engineering

Engineering department’s main activities are the following: maintenance

engineering in different industrial sectors, reliability centered

A4 automation solutions

MAINTRACKER is the turnkey solution, based on the utilization of RFID technology, to track

activities, the tracking of maintenance works performed on the assets, the elaboration of

activities progress reports, the use of mobile applications also in offline mode. Moreover, the

3D Laser Scanner for Sale and Rent: terrestrial laser scanner, LIDAR for

Plane/Helicopter, MMS (Mobile Mapping System), systems of dynamic survey

using laser scanners and cameras. The georeferenced digital laser scans with

high resolution images are useful for 3D surveys in Geology, Architecture,

Topography, Archaeology and Monitoring. In the heritage sector you can also scan

small 3D objects as archaeological remains, capitals, statues and bas-reliefs.

Microgeo is able to integrate on their Drones many thermographic,

Photogrammetric, Multi-Hyperspectral and Laser scanner systems, installing

appropriate sensors on board. Each solution has got also its Software for flight

missions and for data processing (radiometric thermo mosaics, orthophotos,

volumes, sections and contour lines).

The photogrammetry is traditionally known as a technique that determines

metrically the shape and the position of objects from two frames. This technique

has now changed dramatically with the help of complex algorithms from computer

vision, called SFM (Structure from Motion). This NEW PHOTOGRAMMETRY is a

technique that uses multiple images of the same area to rebuild the 3D geometry of

the objects in an entirely automatic manner. It is used in cartography, topography,

geology, engineering and architecture.

Infra-red thermal cameras for sale or on hire for thermographic analyses in

PROJECT CONTROL SERVICES

• Ensure the effectiveness of the Planning and Progress

Control System, monitoring the progress measurement

system and ensuring the proper information flow,

progress status and completion forecast are assessed

and reported for Engineering, Procurement,

Fabrication, Construction and Commissioning phases;

• Update all Project Schedules, collecting actual data,

evaluating forecast dates and monitoring any progress

and productivity deviation compared with the baseline

schedule, including the corrective actions taken by the

PM;

In 3D computer graphics, 3D modeling (or three-dimensional modeling) is the process of

developing a mathematical representation of any surface of an object (either inanimate or

living) in three dimensions via specialized software. The product is called a 3D model.

heating oil refinery furnaces. For such projects we have also carried out stress

isometrics, bills of materials and the specifications of the supports for burner

Field surveys are an integral part of our business. They are carried out mainly

Mechanical engineering

Our experience in the machinery and furnaces sector focuses in particular on the following activities.

• Engineering involved in the construction of machines for the iron and steel industry featuring

hydraulic and pneumatic movements, including the fitting of gear motors, chains, piston rods, oil-

Structural checks

Structural analysis is the determination of the effects of loads on physical structures and their components.

Structural analysis employs the fields of applied mechanics, materials science and applied mathematics to

compute a structure's deformations, internal forces, stresses, support reactions, accelerations, and stability. The

results of the analysis are used to verify a structure's fitness for use, often precluding physical tests.

FEM analysis

The finite element method (FEM) is a numerical method for solving problems of engineering and mathematical

physics. It is also referred to as finite element analysis (FEA).

Building information modeling (BIM) is a process involving the generation and management of digital

representations of physical and functional characteristics of places. Building information models (BIMs) are

files (often but not always in proprietary formats and containing proprietary data) which can be extracted,

exchanged or networked to support decision-making regarding a building or other built asset.

BIM Modeling

Scan to BIM is set to become integral to the

construction industry. Scan-to-BIM is the essential

first step in the BIM process for any architect,

engineer, site manager or contractor involved in

retrofit, refurbishment or renovation projects. We

provide a professional modelling service from laser

scanning to BIM model, utilizing the latest technology

to convert point cloud and laser scan data into

sophisticated 3D BIM models. We provide BIM

models for architects, engineers and administrations.

We also provide MEP scan-to-BIM services to

consultants, MEP designers and contractors.

The advantages of a BIM cloud point modeling are

the greater speed, the greater detail achievable,

greater reliability, reduction of errors, improved

communication, better collaboration and

interoperability.

Our Company is able to provide complete coverage

by combining the traditional methods with the

topographic laser scanner system, with the aim of

restoring products and satisfactory in terms of the

amount of information and the high degree of detail

of the information collected in the country side. The

digital model obtained, corresponding with extreme

precision to the reality, it will be geo-referenced and

integrated in the CAD system with the same

coordinate system.

The laser scanner technology, is today the most

innovative, rapid and extremely accurate, to

perform measurements of objects and surfaces of

any complexity and size. The individual scans,

reconnect to each other in space by means of

unique points in common between them, it allows to

obtain a digital model consists of millions of 3D

points, corresponding to the reality and having

millimetric-precision.

In modern engineering, the general meaning of laser scanning is the controlled deflection of laser

beams, visible or invisible. Within the field of 3D object scanning, laser scanning combines

controlled steering of laser beams with a laser rangefinder.

Georadar

GPR has many applications in a number of fields. In the

Earth sciences, it is used to study bedrock, soils,

groundwater, and ice. It is of some utility in prospecting

for gold nuggets and for diamonds in alluvial gravel

beds, by finding natural traps in buried stream beds that

have the potential for accumulating heavier particles.

Engineering applications include non-destructive testing

(NDT) of structures and pavements, locating buried

structures and utility lines, and studying soils and

bedrock. In environmental remediation, GPR is used to

define landfills, contaminant plumes, and other

remediation sites, while in archaeology it is used for

mapping archaeological features and cemeteries. GPR

is used in law enforcement for locating clandestine

graves and buried evidence.

Ground-penetrating radar (GPR) is a geophysical method that uses radar pulses to image the

subsurface. This non-destructive method uses electromagnetic radiation in the microwave band

(UHF/VHF frequencies) of the radio spectrum, and detects the reflected signals from subsurface

structures. GPR can have applications in a variety of media, including rock, soil, ice, fresh water,

pavements and structures.

Once the scan has been carried out, the data obtained are analyzed:

• Phase 1 – Transformation of the data acquired in the survey campaign by optimizing the

recorded signal;

• Phase 2 – Identification and estimation of the depths of sub-services and structures through

the use of dedicated 3D processing software, the results are then transferred to a CAD /

GIS software to be integrated into the cartographic survey.

Our structure, composed of highly qualified technicians is able to provide the following activities:

• Complete design with execution of the on-site measurements and processing of the obtained

data;

• Data processing from Georadar scans with drawing of results obtained in ".dwg" format; the

most used software are: Autodesk® (Autocad®, Inventor®, Revit®, 3Ds Max®), AutoPLANT®,

CADWorx®, BricsCAD®.

Architectural relief

We are able to perform architectural surveys with laser scanners for buildings of any complexity and

extension, residential, commercial, industrial, directional, historical bound. The drafting of the project is

usually carried out in an Autocad environment, Revit modeling and 3dmax studio, Revit to BIM (or other on

request).

For architectural survey (geometric-topographic) we mean the measurements made for the

acquisition of data for the graphic representation of buildings, parts of buildings and the

environment that surrounds them.

Topographic survey

We are able to manage and develop topography projects with the use of the most modern hardware

equipment (drones, etc.) and software, the main phases of the project are usually the following:

• Initial survey of the area, generally

georeferenced to the geographic north (Google

Earth orientation) and orthometric quotas, that

is the sea level;

• Tracing of the entire work starting from the

excavations, foundation jets and elevations with

respect to the structural executive drawings

• Verifying as-built project with the possibility of

virtual tour of the area generally possible

through laser scan or with drones;

• Monitoring of works on site with reports to be

agreed with the structural engineer for

verification of sags and plumbness.

Topography is the study of the shape and features of the surface of the Earth and other

observable astronomical objects including planets, moons, and asteroids. The topography of an

area could refer to the surface shapes and features themselves, or a description (especially

their depiction in maps).

The detailed survey is performed with laser

scan station, Leica P20, the quality of the data

is ensured by the digital compensator. The

cloud of 3d points, will be built through the full

registration of all movements (Scanword) that

will connect all the internal environments for

each floor with the outside, allowing to

contextualize the compendium with the

external road network and with neighboring

buildings in adherence or neighbors, including

coverage.

The complete Modelspace will be made

available to be completed by the client in

Autocad or dwg compatible.
