WHO : Ageless Grace has been designed so that almost ANYONE of any age, ability, body type, size or with any physical challenge, can participate and benefit from these simple Tools for linfelong comfort and ease. It is a fitness and wellness program. WHAT : 21 Tools are based on everyday movements that are natural and organic, and focus on the healthy longevity of the body and mind. These Tools (movements) not only stimulate the body, they inititate a mind-body link that can positively affect attitude and increased cognitive function. This program is based on the cutting-edge science of neuro-plasticity, the ability of the brain and central nervous system to change form and function. Each of these Tools (movements) emphasizes different anti-aging techniques. The Tools include imagery, creativity, playfulness, variety, polarity, sound expression, words and games. They are used to stimulate and release endorphins and engage the nervous system. Individual activities are performed to rhythms and music that stimulate pleasant memories, and encourage vitality and youthfulness. WHY : We have one body and it is our mission to take care of it, nurture it and keep it in good working condition. This allows us to have lifelong comfort and ease, function more efficiently, improve and maintain a positive attitude and outlook and live our lives to the FULLEST. WHERE : This program is designed to be practiced in a chair, behind a chair or next to a chair. All Tools can be also be done standing or near a chair for support. ANYONE – children, young adults, active aging adults, those in wheelchairs or on walkers, those who use canes or have balance issues, those who are obese – will benefit from this program. Golfers who have body movement problems etc.

The easy to learn Tools promote the “Three R’s” - The ability to Respond, React, Recover ! effi ciently and safely. Tools include right and left-brain activities and sequences of physical movements in patterns that play ‘games’ with the mind. There are also mind-body directions that allow the brain to consciously choose and direct the movement of the body in either a random or specific sequence. Tools have vivid, easy-to-remember names and include imagery, creativity, playfulness, variety, polarity, sound, expression, words and games. These are used to stimulate and release endorphins and engage the nervous system. This is very definitely beneficial to people of all ages and the emphasis is placed on moving rhythmically to the music utilizing the Tools and having FUN !

WHAT IS NEUROPLASTICITY ?Dr Bill Andrews, (The Man Who Would Stop Time”) a renowned molecular biologist and gerontologist whosecareer has centered on searching for a Cure for human aging was the first to successfully identify human telomeres. It is an enzyme that is critical in the aging process. As telomeres shorten, we age and eventually die.A question was asked of Dr. Andrews “What actually works to slow the aging process?”NEUROPLASTICITY is a very popular term these days. What does Neuroplasticity have to do withTelomeres?

“Many of the reasons why neurons quit functioning have to do with what I would like to call caregiver cells.A typical caregiver cell would be something like a Schwann cell that binds to the neurons and then produces a Myelin protein that wraps around the nerve and protects it just like a caregiver. Many diseases, such as Multiple sclerosis, are situations where the myelin is stripped away or is not produced, or there’s an Auto immune reaction where your own antibodies start attacking the myelin destroying the neurons. Alot ofDiseases such as Alzheimer’s and other forms of dementia have been connected to the myelin sheath being Destroyed causing the neurons to become susceptible to destruction. Anytime a cell is insulted or attacked in such a way, it speeds up its death rate.

It’s usually OK when you are young because other cells can divide to replace the killed cells. But Every time cells divide the telomeres get shorter. After 40 years of this, you lose the ability to have your cells divide or replace the dead cells. That’s one of the main causes of all neuroplasticity – relateddiseases including muscular dystrophy. Supporting healthy telomeres is not going to get rid of the problems, but there would be a larger reserve of cells that can divide or replace the killed cells.”

Nutrients which help support healthy aging are those that prevent free radical damage of telomeres or damage to your telomeres. Some of those nutrients include Omega 3, Vitamin D and Anti-oxidants.
