What is a Polyurethane?Formed by the reaction of a polyisocyanate and a polyolWhen polyisocyanate reacts with water it joins with
another polyisocyanate and releases carbon dioxide causing expansion. When polyisocyanate reacts with water it joins with another polyisocyanate and releases carbon dioxide causing expansion.
Can be supplied as SINGLE or TWO part formulations.
Characteristics of Polyurethane?Excellent AdhesionOutstanding hydrolytic Wide range of formulation capability and

Polystone 40SOIL STABILIZATION
GOLF BUNKERS
Polystone 40The Permanent Bunker Solution to
Australia!Developed in the USA, first used in 1997
for golf course bunkers, Polystone® can eliminate the need for you to replace fabric liners ever again!
Poly-Tech now brings this fantastic product to the Australian Market.
GENERAL CONCEPTA low viscosity, single-component
polyurethane is applied to the bunker where it reacts and binds the soil particles to increase strength and eliminate instability.
Basic Approach
1. Remove Sand from Bunker; Cut, Shape & Smooth Bunker as Desired
2. Spread 10mm of fresh sand into the bunker without covering the drains
3. Spray apply with a simple water pump, garden hose & spray nozzle
4. Allow Polystone® to cure for 24 hours; add New Sand to Bunker
Finished Polystone 40 Bunker
Polystone® & Traditional Golf Bunker After a Major Downfall of Rain
Polystone® BunkerMinimal Maintenance work torestore Bunker after Rain
Traditional BunkerMajor Maintenance work to restore bunker after rain
Benefits of Polystone 40Easy To Apply- Simple equipment required; water pump,
garden hose, spray nozzle or watering can
- Low Viscosity Material- Single Component Material nomixing requiredReduces Bunker Contamination- No stones working up from base- No dirt from sidewalls• Stops Sidewall Erosion- Clean Edges- No collapse of steep sidewalls• Reduces Drainage Contamination- No Dirt or Silt getting into the drains- No Fabric to Snag- No pins or staples to replace- No fabric to rebury
• Improves Aesthetics- Stops stones from migrating upfrom base- Stops discolouration from sidewallerosion- Stops silt plugging of drains• Reduces Maintenance- No stones to remove- Use bunker rakes with no snagging- Extends sand life• Maintains Bunker Consistency- Clean Edges- Sand playability remains consistent- Drainage remains consistent
