OBJECTIVES OF THIS PRESENTATION

1. to make clear the commitment and role of the CBCP Episcopal Commission (statutes)

2. CBCP ECSCs direction on how we can help make better our participation in the ministry

5. Based on the statutes of the CBCP

Create a directory of all media forces in the Philippines in the field of radio, TV, press, film, social network, internet, audiovisual, theater, and media education

Collaborate, form and guide all diocesan offices of mass media

Study advances in communications technology

5. Based on the statutes of the CBCP

Coordinate with the Pontifical Council for Social Communications, Apostolic Nuncio, and Office for Social Communications in the FABC

Introduce courses in social communications in seminaries, religious houses of formation, and public and private schools

5. Based on the statutes of the CBCP

Hold the national celebration of World Communications Day

Endorse media products

Study how to use media for the Church apostolate

5. Based on the statutes of the CBCP

Establish institutes and hold seminars for those in the apostolate of mass media as well as animate the talents to undergo formation

Prepare and promote formational programs on radio and print and distribute in mass media centers

Be watchful for organized attempts to use media to subvert Catholic doctrine and morals and inform the conference.

Keep contact with regional and international associations devoted to media apostolate

Form organizations of Catholic broadcasters, educators, publishers, and film producers

Promote Christian formation of public opinion as means and service to evangelization

6. Critical Success factors of the Commission

The formation of a core team within the ECSCMM that addresses issues of marketing, PR, formation of a Media Institute, Research, Diocesan media concerns, and ALL media production outlets (Print, TV, Social networks, etc.)

6. Critical Success factors of the Commission

Maximize the opportunities of the World Communications Day to fine tune the pastoral direction of the commission and to raise funds for the its activities

The ECSCMM serving as the central organization of all Catholic Media practitioners

OUR PLAN IN 2 YEARS:

The ECSCMM shall form an AD HOC Core Group consisting of representatives from marketing, PR, Media Institutes, Research, Media advocates, key diocesan media ministers, and all media production outlets (Print, TV, Social networks, etc.)

The ECSCMM shall hold regional consultations with all Diocesan Social Communication Ministries with a formative element
