RESEARCH INFORMATION ABOUT CYBER BULLYING

http://www.education.com/reference/article/cyberbullying-research/ states that;

Cyber bullying is a whole-school and community issue.Much research has focused on one or two forms of mobile or

Internet bullying and has distinguished seven forms of cyber bullying:

mobile phone calls, text messages, picture/video clips, email, instant messaging, chat-rooms and websites.

Recent guidance from the Department for Children, Schools and Families (DCSF, 2007) on cyber bullying provides a comprehensive list of types of cyber bullying including: virtual worlds, social networking sites and virtual learning environments.

Smith et al. (2) reported that; among victims of cyber bullying, • only 56% sought help by telling someone. • 75% students suggested ‘blocking messages or identities’ is the best way

to stop cyber bullying, followed by ‘telling someone.• (63%), think of changing email addresses or phone numbers.

Cyber bullying is related to other issues in the ‘real world’ including school problems, anti-social behaviour, substance use, and delinquency. Cyber bullying is related to low self-esteem, suicidal ideation, anger, frustration, and a variety of other emotional and psychological problems.

to be considered and therefore has a huge impact.

PLANNING ISSUES I have asked some of my colleague females to act as; a

group of girls browsing on a desktop computer in class whiles I video them.

Another colleague has also agree to act as; a boy relaxing at a corner around the college campus and gets a text on his phone and gets irritated.

The locations in my video will be inside the classroom and around the college.

I have my own sound tracks to use at the background of the video.

I have access to camera, internet and computers in the college to help finish my video.
