Summary-Cameroon-Pilot-!•  The!pilot!was!half!a!failure!and!half!a!success,!with!a!lot!of!lessons!learnt,!that!are!

taken!into!considera=on!to!transfer!knowhow!to!DR!Congo.!!•  „Trust!is!a!must“:!Every!coopera=on!is!based!on!trust,!that‘s!best!built!through!

common!ac=vi=es!–!star=ng!with!small!ones,!giving!quick!successes:!For!this!„energy“!and!„health“!are!best!suited!as!door!opener,!since!results!are!inmediate!

•  The!role!of!Greenpeace!as!enabler!does!not!mean!to!do!implementa=on!work!in!the!communi=es.!However,!for!a!pilot!it!meant!to!do!parts!of!the!community!work!ourJselves!in!order!to!be!able!to!catalyze!such!processes!in!future!projects.!Knowing!such!reali=es!makes!it!more!likely!that!one!designs!the!trainings!beGer.!!

•  Figures:!In!15!communi=es!300!solar!home!systems!installed,!30!villagers!trained,!10!green!jobs!created!(but!not!safed!yet),!20!key!volunteers!trained!in!Community!Organizing,!and!the!transfer!to!DRC!started.!!

The!Cameroon!Pilot!has!achieved!beside!concrete!results!in!the!pilot!communi=es:!•  Energy!Ministry!has!become!very!interested!in!par=cipatory!approaches!for!rural!

electrifica=on.!There!is!a!workinggroup!of!enterprises!that!should!finally!get!the!government!to!implement!tax!exonera=on!for!solar!material.!!

•  A!range!of!solar!energy!players!are!on!the!energy!market!trying!to!offer!their!services,!some!of!them!even!in!a!social!business!manner!J!most!of!them!have!been!trained!by!the!project.!

•  Na=onal!NGOs!have!taken!advantage!of!trainings!by!recrui=ng!exJtrainees.!!•  Na=onal!NGOs!have!adopted!community!development!some!terminology!

introduced!by!the!pilot!•  The!project!has!introduced!a!methodology!based!on!human!values!like!honesty,!

thoroughness,!solidarity.!Counterforces!are:!the!corrupt!habits!since!years,!decades,!that!have!ravaged!human!values.!The!fight!against!corrup=on!and!for!human!values!is!difficult!anywhere,!it!needs!whistleblowers!with!courage,!thourough!control,!board!members!with!courage!and!partners!with!courage,!to!be!able!to!counter!this!phenomena.!!
