Normally land interests needed by the DCA are for airport sites.

The process for procurement of real property interests can be initiated informally such as a request for market information, potential costs, or availability

Must be free of any hazardOur mission is to establish Low Cost Carrier

Airport with 2 runway

There are going to be 2 tower control in our airport to ensure efficient flow of flight operation

FACILITY

PIER FINGER TERMINALS Piers offer high aircraft capacity and

simplicity of design, but often result in a long distance from the check-in counter to the gate (this way called as Contact Pier).

Example airport

Suvarnabhumi Airport

Advantages: Short distance

Low cost construction

• Utilization of Facility

• Facility Investment

• Operational efficiency

• Architectural

Airport Check-in are service counters found at commercial airports handling commercial air travel. The check-in is normally handled by an airline or a handling agent working on behalf of an airline. Passengers usually hand over any baggage they do not wish or are not allowed to carry-on to the aircraft's cabin and receive a boarding pass before they can proceed to board their aircraft

CHECK-IN

• Self Check-in Kiosk Check-in counters

Confirming the identity of travelers, Checking a photo ID & transports.

Body Screening using Metal Detector Gate

Manual Methods Multiple luggage pieces in one cart

Not automatically sorted

Automatic Methods DCV – Destination Coded Vehicles

Each cart contains a single piece of baggageAutomatically sortedLittle or no human interaction required

Method Of Baggage Handling System

DCVs = Destination-Coded Vehicles

Automatic Scanner = scan the labels

Primary Surveillance Radar: PSR Modern radar technology aircraft detection within 80 NM of

the airport support for increased number of

flights handled by Approach controllers

detection of non-transponder aircraft by receiving radio reflections.

high reliability. If one part of the PSR fails, the whole system can continue to operate in a mode called fail-soft.

Modern technology supporting SSR Mode S compatible with the revised ICAO plan for Communication, Navigation, Surveillance/Air Traffic Management (CNS/ATM)

detection and tracking with 250 NM coverage

support for both Approach and Area Control.

SURVEILLANCE SYSTEM The Surveillance System helps ATC Controllers to notice and track airborne aircraft in the area of responsibility and the airport area at all times. This enables them to manage air traffic systematically and speedily. The Surveillance System at Suvarnabhumi Airport has the following

Secondary Surveillance Radar: SSR

Page 15: Presentation airport planning

Surface Movement Radar: SMR

Operation at X-Band frequency with antenna rotation of 60 rpm.

detection of objects every second

Support for ATC by monitoring aircraft from landing to parking at apron, and operating safely and Speedily in both good and bad weather e.g. heavy rainfall and thick fog.

A ‘seamless’ and accurate surveillance system using the same principles as  GPS, including a search facility for aircraft and vehicle positions. support for ATC by tracking all aircraft from landing to take-off in all areas an auxiliary system to SMR covering all airport areas support of future GPS-based surveillance system

SURVEILLANCE SYSTEMMul Tilateration System: MLTS

LONG-TERM PLANS Underground rail link station and in front of the passenger

terminal building is a 600-room hotel Between the airport hotel and the terminal building are

the two 5-storey car parks with a combined capacity of 5,000 cars.

4 runways flanking 2 main terminals and 2 satellite buildings with a combined capacity capable of handling up to 100 million passengers and 6.4 million tonnes of cargo a year

Built a separate terminal for low-cost airlines operating concept will be modeled after the LCCT of KLIA and Singapore Changi Airport.

Aeropolis city - A 'water-city' or 'Venice-of-the-East - This concept will feature a water front.
