What is development education?
Its an active learning process which enables people to
understand the links between their own lives and those
of people throughout the world,
in a changing global society that is multicultural and
interdependent and
It aims to promote knowledge, skill and values about
development in the North and in the South
and to explore strategies to change the unequal
distribution of the power and resources in the world.
Knowledge
To promote awareness and understanding of the causes related to development issues and of the interdependence between local and global issues. Water is one of the most important issues nowadays.

For about 1.1 billion of people around the world, water resources are ureliable and unsafe.
Water consume in the World
•Since 1950 the world population has doubled while water consumption has increases six-fold.
•The average person in Europe uses about 104 litres of domestic water each day. IN USA uses over 300 litres and in Madagascar 6 litres.
•About 700 millions people live beyond scarcity of water

The world is facing a growing crisis of water scarcity:contamination of rivers and lakes and loss of aquatic biodiversity.
Water and development
Water insecurity poses a real threat to human development in many places.
Most of the people lacking access to water are poor.
Water and conflict
Scarcity of water is related to policy decision.Scarcity is the root of many conflict in the world.
Water and health
Diseases spread easily in areas in which people have no access to fresh drinking water and adequate sanitation
Skills and values
To develop skills, attitudes and values that enable people to work together, towards achieving a more just and sustainable world.
Enable people to explore the esential role that water plays in their lives.
