Allow adequate time for Sponsor’s to Review and Comment

Remember the need to prepare for all parts of the jigsaw Interview / Presentation and the Written Assignment

Aim is for ICE Staff to check at least One Reviewer is suitable

Do not exceed one A4 Page

The Precis is only designed to give a brief outline of the reports

The Lead Sponsor is not necessarily your nominated SCE

The Lead Sponsor is accountable to the ICE in their opinion of you

Their Responsibilities are three fold:1) Satisfy themselves that you have a realistic chance of becoming a

Professional Engineer

2) Certify that your submission is a reasonable and honest reflection of your experience and capabilities

3) Check that none of your other sponsors have any misgivings

Be Careful in the selection for the remaining Sponsors

Ensure the Sponsors know your work and can answer any questions

REPORTS – COMMON FAULTS

Ensure you do not undersell yourself

Make sure the report is about you

Do not write in the Third person

‘I was involved in….’ ‘I was responsible for…..’

‘My involvement included…’ ‘My responsibilities were…’

Make sure you show what Lessons you did learn

Use acronyms to shorten report, but tell the reviewer the meaning of the letters

Avoid the use of Jargon

Treat the reader like a Martian...never assume the person will have your knowledge
