Please note that following construction drawings are based on conventional building practices, good design

practices, in readily available equipment and tools. However, construction practices may defer in different regions.

Check with your local builder if there are more efficient alternative methods of construction.





APPLICATION HempiPANEL – for external and internal walls PRODUCT SPECIFICATION – LARGE PANEL Standard Size: 2,400mm(W) x 600mm(H) x 130mm(THK). Options to custom panel sizes are available upon request Form: Tongue & Groove profile modules Colour: Light beige natural woody colour exposing hemp raw material. Options to varied colours with use of eco-friendly pigments are available upon request Finished texture: Smooth matt finish exposing random hemp fibre fines. Options of varied textures and patterns upon request. OPTIONAL - YOUR DESIGNED FINISHES (recommended that all surfaces should be breathable for maintaining good indoor air quality and prevention of fungal growth) External:

1. Paint Finish: Apply lime plaster (~20mm) and let dry, followed by breathable base coat for paint (eg. mineral silicate paint) and paint finish (in process as recommended by paint supplier)

2. Cladding Finish in Stone, Tiles, Timber, Metal Cladding, etc: Sub-frame supports for additional cladding finish should be provided independently and secured to building structural frames.

Internal: 1. For Dry Areas with Paint Finish: Apply lime plaster (~20mm) and let dry,

followed by breathable base coat for paint (eg. mineral silicate paint) and paint finish (in process as recommended by paint supplier)

2. For Wet Areas with Tile Finish: Waterproof plasterboards, gypsum boards, magnesium oxide Boards, etc can be directly adhered to HempiPANEL walls with adhesives and nails. Thereafter, recommended waterproofing layer and desired finishing cladding to be adhered to board substrates (in process as recommended by material supplier).

Practice Hemp Building Construction

MATERIAL COMPOSITION HempiCAST is a bio-composite premix material, ideal as an insulated wall solution for low-rise external walls in extreme climatic conditions. It can also be applied as acoustic internal walls. Mixing our specially selected hemp hurd and formulated lime based binder, the designer has the flexibility to vary finishing texture (based on formwork used), colour hue of wall (by adding inorganic pigments), or lime plaster and paint (with breathable paint eg. mineral silicate) to their desired wall design effect.

CAST IN-SITU CONSTRUCTION METHOD

Formwork shuttering boards can be in whatever available resource in the region. Ideal for hard to reach site with

available workers. Skills, tools and equipment required for cast in-situ method is quite similar with concrete material.

Except that instead of using concrete mixer, Pan Mixer with rotary blades is more ideal. Also, additional tamping

process to compact the poured HempiCAST mix into formwork is required. Formwork can be removed after 24hours

where casted hemp wall shall be left curing under shelter protection from rain.

We can provide training workshops of building demonstration to the project builders or contractor teams upon

request.
