ABOUT THE PLAYHOUSE SCHOOL OF PERFORMING ARTS:Our classes are designed to develop skills for the stage and foster individual artists. Students are challenged in new and exciting ways that strengthen acting, dance, and voice techniques such as projection, character choices, and self-confidence. Personal development skills like collaboration, creativity, and problem-solving are also modeled through class exercises and training. We recommend continued participation year-round. Much like sports, it’s important in arts training to consistently practice and advance skills to be ready to take on roles offered at the Playhouse. The School of Performing Arts is led by Amber Burns, Artistic Director of the Family Theatre, and her roster of professional teaching artists.
