2. (a) Program mission and objectives: The mission is “to facilitate mass propagation of

knowledge and to preserve an extensive foundation of comprehension in an assortment of realms

of Social Sciences and to promote enhancement of Gross Enrolment Ratio (G.E.R.)”.

(b). Relevance of the programme with HEI’s mission and goals : Suresh Gyan Vihar

University is the logical outcome of a great dream, and meticulous research and development.

The foundation stone of Gyan Vihar was laid down on 19th February 1994 by the great

academician and thinker Acharya Shri PurushottamUttam. The University offers diversified

programs in various disciplines. Keeping in view our educational background, Bachelor of Arts

(B.A.) to be offered through ODL mode is very pertinent to the HEI’s mission and goals as it

endeavors to endow with excellence to the aspiring students who are destitute of higher

education because of the inadequate quantity of seats in the conservative approach of education

in various Universities. All the under graduate courses are offered by SGVU.

(c). Nature and target group of learners:

The curriculum of B.A. is designed in such a way that it helps the students to become not only

more employable but also encourage them to become better citizens for the society.. Primarily

(e). Instructional Design:

i) Program Design: The curriculum is designed by academicians and industy experts, keeping in

view needs of the assorted groups of Students. Also, Self Learning Study Material (SLM) shall

be made available to the learners.

ii) Detailed Syllabus: As per the undergraduate course offered in the regular mode by SGVU.

iii) Duration of the Program: Minimum 3 years. Nevertheless, the studentswould have to

complete the program as per UGC guidelines.

iv) Student Support Service: Our library, “The House of Wisdom” and

additionalobtainableamenities for education in distance mode shall be made available to

undergraduate learners also. Along with this, students will be provided with quality Self

Learning Material(SLM).

(f). Procedure for Admissions, Curriculum transaction and Evaluation- The minimum

eligibility for BA programme is 10+2 from any recognized Board.. The curriculum is delivered

though the Print Self Learning Materials (SLMs) and Face to Face Counselling Session

supported by audio-video aids through the SGVU approved Study Centres across the STATE

strictly as per the norms and standard of the university. The assessment of the admitted students

to this programme is conducted on the basis of their assignments, test and performance in the

end semester examination.

The minimum eligibility for BA programme is 10+2 from any recognized Board.

Registration Fees- Rs. 450/- (One time only, at the time of registration)

Semester Fees- Rs. 10,000/- (Every Semester)

Examination Fees- Rs. 900/- (Every Semester)

(g). Requirement of laboratory support and Library Resources : The Students have access to

4 well – equipped Computer Labs, each Lab housing top-of-the-line Computer systems.

The Central Library, christened as “House of Wisdom” has over 1.5 Lac. square feet plinth area,

stretched in four floors. It has escalator and elevator facilities for Library users. The Library has

(i). Quality assurance Mechanism and Expected Programme outcome: SGVU has an

established IQAC, which is accountable for appraising and monitoring the quality of all the

courses in close cooperation with the SGVU DE. A monitoring mechanism at the University has

already been established for all courses. The Quality Assurance Cell includes the Hon’ble VC,

Registrar, Principals of the different Schools, Nominated Heads of the Departments and

administrative staff of the HEI.

2 (a). Program’s Mission and objectives:

The program’s mission is to impart , train and transform a student completely for

high calibre competence through latest concepts and technology and equip the

students as per the demands of the industry.

The programme aims to achieve the following objectives

i. To provide an opportunity to get a B.B.A. degree to those who find it

difficult or even impossible to pursue regular B.B.A. course at a

University either due to their job commitments or certain other

circumstances.

ii. To help the learners, study at their own pace, from their own chosen

place.

iii. To provide adequate basic understanding about business and

commerce among the students.

iv. To develop skills in matters related to commerce and management.

v. To create an additional avenue of self-employment and also to benefit

various financial/commercial/business institutions by providing them

with suitable qualified persons.

vi. To develop Information Technology skills in the students, which now a

days is essential in business and commerce.

Suresh Gyan Vihar University (SGVU) was established in 2008 with a vision ''To create an

(f). Procedure for Admissions, Curriculum transaction and Evaluation-:

The minimum eligibility for B.B.A. programme is 10+2 from any recognized Board.

The curriculum is delivered though the Printed Self Learning Materials (SLMs) and Face to

Face Counseling Session supported by audio-video aids through the contact hour classes

conducted at the Headquarters, i.e. SGVU Campus. The evaluation and assessment of the

admitted students to this program is conducted on the basis of their assignments, test and

performance in the end semester examination.

Library has over 4 Million Print and E-Resources with subscription of DELNET, N-LIST and

World eBook Library.

It’s the only Library with an Android Application of its own available on Google Play Store

by the name “House of Wisdom”. It is completely digitized with KOHA. Approximately 500

users visit the Library per day

strictly as per the norms and standard of the university. The assessment of the admitted

The program’s mission is to impart , train and transform a student completely for

(b). Relevance of the programme with HEI’s mission and goals : Suresh Gyan Vihar

University is the logical outcome of a great dream, and meticulous research and development.

The foundation stone of Gyan Vihar was laid down on 19th February 1994 by the great

academician and thinker Acharya Shri Purushottam Uttam. The University offers diversified

programs in various disciplines. Keeping in view our educational background, Post Graduate

Diploma of Computer Application (P.G.D.C.A.) to be offered through ODL mode is very

pertinent to the HEI’s mission and goals as it endeavors to endow with excellence to the aspiring

students who are destitute of higher education because of the inadequate quantity of seats in the

conservative approach of education in various Universities. All the under graduate courses are

The curriculum of P.G.D..C.A.. is designed in such a way that it helps the students to become not

(e). Instructional Delivery Mechanism :

i. Curriculum Design: The curriculum is designed by a committee comprising experts

from the parent department of the SGVU and Industry experts, keeping in view the needs

of the diverse groups of learners.

ii. Detailed Syllabus: As per the Under graduate course offered in the regular mode by

Suresh Gyan Vihar University.

iii. Duration of the Program: Minimum 1 year. Nevertheless, the students would have to

complete the program as per UGC guidelines.

iv. Student Support Service: Our library, “The House of Wisdom” and additional

obtainable amenities for education in distance mode shall be made available to

P.G.D.C.A. learners also. Further, in order to successfully execute the programme, a wide

range of support services are provided to the Open and distance learners. The various

support services are as follows:

(f). Procedure for Admissions, Curriculum transaction and Evaluation- The minimum

eligibility for P.G.D.C.A. program is graduation who has passed or appearing for final year

degree examination in any discipline (Science, Commerce, Arts, Engineering from any approved

University) is eligible to apply. Candidates must have mathematics as a subject in their 10+2

course or any one year of graduation. B.C.A. qualified candidates can also pursue P.G. D.C.A.

The curriculum is delivered though the Printed Self Learning Materials (SLMs) and Face to

Face Counseling Session supported by audio-video aids through the contact hour classes

conducted at the Headquarters, i.e. SGVU Campus. The evaluation and assessment of the

admitted students to this program is conducted on the basis of their assignments, test and

performance in the end semester examination.

(g). Requirement of laboratory support and Library Resources: The Students have access to

stretched in four floors. It has escalator and elevator facilities for Library users. The Library has

over 4 Million Print and E-Resources with subscription of DELNET, N-LIST and World eBook

Library.

It’s the only Library with an Android Application of its own available on Google Play store by

the name “House of Wisdom”. It is completely digitized with KOHA. Approximately 500 users
