PowerPinner 7005 & 7005 RFNew and improved for super strong welds and dependable operationGripnail’s 40-plus years of insulation fastening experience have pro-duced a welder for the most severe duct manufacturing environments. The 7005 pin welder features simple, reliable electronic controls and a high output transformer that will fasten 1/2” to 2” pins to 16-26 gauge sheet metal. Other features include:

• Dependable Electronic Controls - A PLC (programmable logic con-trol) unit replaces all timers, relays, reed switches and circuit boards

• Single Weld Control - Just set the machine for the gauge you want, and everything else is automatic

• Quick Change Welding Tips - Upper and lower tips can be changed in seconds; lower tip is reversible for twice the life

• Automatic Pin Feed - One feeder bowl for all pin sizes

PowerPinner 7005

The Rapid Fire (RF) option allows the operator to con-tinuously fasten weld pins at a rate of one pin every 2 seconds without taking their foot off the pedal. This maxi-mizes the machine speed for the fastest possible pinning operation. Flip the switch and the machine returns to the manual mode for larger pieces of duct.

Simple Controls allow operation of this machine by workers of varying skill levels. Both our standard Power Pinner 7005 and 7005 RF have an integrated weld and dwell time setting so that the operator need only turn the weld setting up for longer pins or thicker metal. The only other controls are a

rapid-fire on/off switch and a feeder bowl speed control. There is also an LED voltage display to alert the operator to low voltage situations.

PowerPinner Glider 7105 & 7105 RFThe power and simplicity of our 7005 with a movable weld-headContractors who regularly line large fittings and straight duct will find the convenience of the PowerPinner Glider speeds their assembly and reduces their fabrication costs. The weld head travels a full 60 inches for lining 5-foot wide duct. The head is moved with a multi-position extension arm and glides on specially designed bearings. A weld pin is set each time the operator squeezes the pistol grip’s trigger. Small duct sections can be easily lined by locking the weld head in the forward position, moving the extension arm to its vertical position and activating the foot pedal.

The Rapid Fire (RF) option works when the arm is locked in the vertical position and the machine is foot pedal activated. This allows the operator to continuously fasten weld pins at a rate of one pin every 2 seconds without taking their foot off the pedal.

PowerPinner – Hi Speed 50

Machine Operation

The Hi Speed 50 and the coil line’s insulator are connected with a simple chain drive. This drive powers the heads forward at the same speed as the sheet metal, whenever the machine is pinning. As soon as the machine stops pinning, air cylinders move the drive heads back towards the insulator. The PLC optimizes the head travel so that full ten-foot sheets may be insulated with pins on six-inch centers. The split pin track keeps a reserve of pins ready to load in the lower track every time the heads return to the starting position.

PowerPinner – Hi Speed 50Full speed coil line pinnerMost coil lines are capable of running at 50 feet per minute but have to slow down to 25 when applying welded duct liner fasteners. The PowerPinner 50 keeps your line speed and profits up. Run your line at its full 50 foot per minute capacity while placing pins as close as 6 inches apart.

The Hi Speed 50 is equipped with one set of specially designed feeder bowls that handle pins from 1/2 inch to 2 inches. In addition, the high output transformer will weld the full range of pins to metal as thick as 16 gauge.

A single weld-setting switch controls the weld time for all heads while the PLC optimizes the dwell time. Operators only need to increase the weld set-ting for longer pins or thicker sheet metal. Each head has an on/off switch so that the machine can accommodate narrower coils of sheet metal.

Fewer Components

Inside the control box is a PLC (programmable logic control) which controls the load cylin-ders, drive cylinders, and drive head travel. Mounted on the door of the control box, for easy servicing, are the on/off switches, feeder bowl control switches and the weld-setting switch.
