Ocean Letter Writing Tray
Fill shallow wooden tray with blue sand. Place seashell letter cards in tray to use as a model. Use finger to write letters in the tray. Shake tray back and forth to erase and write a new letter.

Items to Prep:• Print the seashell response page..
Directions: • Choose an ocean animal. • Place that animal on one side of the scale. • Fill the other side of the balance scale with the seashells one at
a time until the scale balances out. • Record the weight on the response sheet.• Optional activities:

Ocean Water Bead Bin
Fill sensory bin with ocean colored water beads. Add small plastic ocean animals. Use fine motor tools and cups to scoop, dump, play and explore. Provide lots of language modeling by commenting on how things look, feel, move, etc.

Jellyfish Craft Paint small paper bowl various colors with tempera paint. Allow to dry. Glue or staple ribbons underneath the upside down bowl. Glue googly eyes to the top to finish the jellyfish.

• Paint with a Brush• Use a Stapler• Squeeze a Glue Bottle
Ocean Ice Melt Freeze ocean creatures in blue ice. Place ice blocks in large bin with tools, eye droppers and cups of warm water. Use tools to excavate the ocean creatures. Sort, name, and count the animals.

Fish Watercolor Painting
Print the fish outline on white cardstock. Use liquid watercolors to paint a brightly colored tropical fish. Cut the fish out and add a googly eye to the face.
