RETENTION CRITERIA FOR 4NA
• Aggregate score :
- not exceeding 21 points for ELMAB3≤21
- not exceeding 14 points for ELB3≤14
- not exceeding 14 points for MAB3≤14
• At least an N-Level grade 5 for all subjects used
in the computation of ELMAB3 or ELB3/MAB3.
RETENTION CRITERIA FOR 4NA
• Sat for GCE N-Level Exam only once previously
• S’pore Citizens / PR – born on or after 2 Jan 1996
• International Students – born on or after 2 Jan 1998
• Good conduct
PROGRESSION OF 4N(T) TO SEC 4N(A)
• Grade A for both English and Mathematics.
• Grade B or better for one other subject at the N(T)-
level in one sitting.
ENHANCE NITEC FOUNDATION
PROGRAMME (E-NFP)
• For 4NT pupils with 0 or 1 N-Level pass
• New initiative by ITE, starting with 2013 cohort
• Help students to built the necessary literacy and
numeracy foundations to enable successful
completion of Nitec courses
RETENTION FOR 4NT
• For students not successful in securing any ITE course (including e-NFP) by end Jan 2016
• Should seek admission to ITE for post-secondary education where there will be opportunity to prepare for the GCE O Level Exam in EL and Math
• Students offered at least 1 Nitec course or e-NFP are not allowed to repeat
• NT repeat students will be allowed to combine their results for admission to ITE

DIRECT-ENTRY-SCHEME TO
POLYTECHNIC PROGRAMME (DPP)
• ELMAB3 aggregate of 19 points or less and meet subject-
specific Minimum Entry Requirements. Must attain a min grade
of 4 in both EL and MA.
• Students accepted into the DPP will enrol into Higher Nitec
courses at ITE, and are subsequently guaranteed a place in a
polytechnic diploma course mapped to their Higher Nitec,
subject to them meeting the Grade Point Average (GPA)
requirements.
• Successful applicants will be required to attend a 10-week
preparatory course prior to commencing their Higher Nitec
courses.
POLYTECHNIC FOUNDATION
PROGRAMME (PFP)
• ELMAB3 aggregate of 11 points or less and meet subject-
specific Minimum Entry Requirements. Must attained Grade 3
or better in all subjects used in the computation of ELMAB3.
• The PFP is a one-year foundation programme for polytechnic-
bound students offering a practice-oriented curriculum taught
by polytechnic lecturers.
• Following the release of the GCE O-Level results in January,
eligible students will be invited to apply for the PFP.
FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE ONLY
INTERESTED IN THE PFP
• You should progress to Sec 5, and apply for the PFP in January.
Students who have accepted their PFP offers will withdraw
from Sec 5 by the end of January.
• All PFP-bound students are required to attend classes up till the
last Friday of January.
Being eligible to apply for the PFP does not guarantee a
successful placement into a PFP course.
FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE ONLY
INTERESTED IN THE DPP
• You should apply to the DPP once you receive your
N(A)-Level results in December.
• Should you accept a DPP offer, you should not
return to the secondary schools for Sec 5N(A).
FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE UNCERTAIN
AND/OR INTERESTED IN BOTH PFP AND
DPP:
• If you are certain that you do not want to continue with Sec 5
and pursue the GCE O-Levels, you may apply for the DPP
once they receive their N(A)-Level results in December.
• Should you accept a DPP offer, you should not return to
school for Sec 5N(A). Upon the release of the GCE O-Level
results in January, you may apply for the PFP. If you are offered
and accept a PFP place, you will withdraw from the DPP.
FOR STUDENTS WHO ARE UNCERTAIN
AND/OR INTERESTED IN BOTH PFP AND
DPP
Alternatively,
•You may progress to Sec 5 first. Upon release of the GCE O-Level
results in January, you may then apply for the PFP and DPP
concurrently.
•If your application is successful, you will withdraw from Sec 5N(A)
by the end of January.

Eligible NT students may apply for Nitec courses under both JIE ‘N’ and JIE ‘E’ intake exercises but will only receive one offer from either intake exercises
ITE JOINT INTAKE EXERCISE – JIE ‘H’
• JIE ‘H’ • ELMAB3 ≤19, with at least a Grade 4 in both EL and MA
• for direct entry to Higher NITEC Courses under Direct Entry Scheme to Polytechnic Programme (DPP)
• for ’N’ (Academic)/ GCE ‘O’ Level school leavers
• to attend a 10 week preparatory programme followed by 2 years of Higher NITEC Training
• Upon completion of Higher NITEC training, graduates will be assured of a place in a related Polytechnic Diploma course if you meet the qualifying criteria for progression
• Traineeship Courses
Eligible NA students may apply for Higher Nitec courses under the JIE ‘H’ and Nitec courses under JIE ‘N’. If you are offered a Higher Nitec course under JIE ‘H’, you will not be offered a Nitec course under JIE ‘N’.

• You can apply over the internet for courses listed in
Form N.
• For other courses that you are eligible but are not
listed in Form N, you can submit your application
over the counter at Customer & Visitor Centre @
Ang Mo Kio.
(Bring along 2015 GCE N-Level Examination results slip and 2015
school preliminary O-Level examination results for your
application)

JIE APPLICATION
• Application period is 5 calendar days from release of N Level
results ie between Thu 17 Dec 2015, 2.30 pm to Mon 21 Dec
2015, 5 pm

• JIE ‘N’ - can select up to 12 choices
• JIE ‘E’ – can select up to 6 choices
• Enter choices in order of preference
JIE APPLICATION
• Print a copy of verification slip as proof of application and
note web ID and password to view the results of your
application
• Keep Admission Booklet after submission of application- has
instructions for acceptance and appeal
• Allowed to make changes to your application only once over
the Internet
ITE POSTING (PG 17)
• Admission is merit based.
• ITE aggregate points are computed for N(T) subject
grades and N(A) subject grades.
• Posting is based on aggregate of best 4 GCE ‘N’
subjects including pre-requisite subjects and bonus
points
• Selected courses require applicants to attend
interview / drawing test

by today if particulars need to be amended.
• If any request to amend the particulars after 30 Dec
2015 will incur $50 administration charge.
