FULL TIME ANNUAL SALARY: $57,995 (Pro rata amount $33,057)

HOURLY RATE: $29.65

HOURS PER WEEK: 25 hours

TIME SPAN: To be negotiated

NO. OF WEEKS: 42 weeks per school year (main weeks to be worked during school terms, other weeks to be negotiated)

PURPOSE OF ROLE

The Curriculum Administration Officer will support the College in delivering high quality support in the area of Curriculum to ensure that Thomas More College operates efficiently on a day to day basis.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: Curriculum Ability to work with the Deputy Principal and Director of Student Pathways to ensure

Administration excellent administrative support is provided in the Curriculum area. SACE Administration

Work collaboratively with all stakeholders to ensure all SACE requirements are met to ensure the College meets its obligations, and staff and student achieve success eg:

o Be a contact person with the SACE Board.o Assist staff in their individual SACE management tasks.o Ensure registration of all SACE students.o Be responsible for the entry of all data on the SACE Board's web-based data entry

and reporting system for schools in regards to students, assessment plans and results

o Assist with the process to ensure all students meet the appropriate SACE curriculum pattern.

o Assist staff in their task of completing any SACE documentation, including assessment plans, result sheets, school predicted marks and special provisions forms

o Liaise with Coordinators and assist with smooth running of SACE exams and trial exams. Duties include organising the roster for exams and exam supervision, organising invigilators, preparing and maintaining the exam rooms, co-ordination of, and maintenance of, security measures for SACE external exams.

o Assist with the collation of Predicted Exam Results and School Assessment Results and moderation materials.

o Assist Deputies and Directors to ensure that all Assessment Plans are accurately completed within the appropriate timelines.

o Assist students to correctly complete SACE documentation.o Assist senior staff with monitoring SACE completion, SACE pattern checks and

University entrance requirement for students.o Ensure appropriate collection processes for moderation materials.o Preparing and distributing curriculum correspondence.

Recording Student Achievements

Work collaboratively with Deputy Principal to coordinate the student assessment and reporting process.

Calculate awards and result analyses to summarise student achievement. Support the collection and management of student performance/achievement data.

General Administration Support

Support the Executive Team by undertaking administration tasks. Support the Administration Team with tasks, developing good practices and in times of

absences and busyness. Have a commitment to review and develop procedures to ensure effective delivery of

administrative functions within the role.

Professional development

Attend professional development and training required by the College, and actively seek opportunities to increase knowledge, experience and skills held.

These responsibilities may vary from time to time after negotiation with the Principal and/or College Business Manager.REPORTING/WORKING RELATIONSHIPS

The Curriculum Administration Officer reports to the Business Manager as a member of the non-teaching staff of the College and will be directed by the Deputy Principal.

Key Working Relationships: • Principal, • Other members of the Executive and Administrative Team, and • Teachers and other non-teaching personnel in the College.

The Principal is the responsible for the employment of all staff at Thomas More College.

SPECIAL CONDITIONS RELATING TO THIS POSITION

Required to attend staff days and meetings, when requested, at the beginning and end of the year and during the school year.

KNOWLEDGE/PREVIOUS EXPERIENCE

Previous experience in a school environment would be an advantage. Professional organisational and communication skills, and proven initiative. Proven success in meeting crucial timelines. Proven experience of working collaboratively with an Executive Team and Administration Team. High level of competency with modern computer software, in particular databases and spreadsheets. Experience in applying WHS policies and procedures in a work environment.

WHS REQUIREMENTS

WorkersThis role is deemed to be a Worker under the South Australian Work Health and Safety (WHS) Act 2012.As a Worker, while at work you must – Take reasonable care for your own health and safety, Take reasonable care that your actions or omissions do not adversely affect the health and safety of other persons, Comply, in so far as you are reasonably able to, with any reasonable instruction given by the employer, AND Co-operate with any reasonable policy or procedure of the employer that is related to health and safety at the

workplace that has been notified to workers.

SPECIFIC REQUIREMENTS

Basic Emergency Life Support. Approved Mandatory Notification training. Police Clearance to work in Catholic Education SA.

The Business Manager or Principal may, through consultation with the employee, vary the responsibilities of the position as required, but within the skills and responsibility levels appropriate to the position.

PERFORMANCE REVIEW/RELECTION

The employee must undertake a review/reflection on an annual basis. On the first anniversary of your appointment and biennially thereafter, or at another mutually agreed time,

consultation will occur between the employer and the employee to ensure that the duty statement is accurate.
