TODD expertise includes staff engagement, talent and performance management, leadership & career development, training, organisational development consultancy, organisational change, diversity and inclusion. Areas of focus include culture, gender, age, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander employment, disability and sexual orientation and gender identity The Talent and Diversity Project Assistant (Intern) provides assistance and support to undertake priority projects and events and contribute to the delivery of the University of Sydney Strategic Plan. This includes assisting with the project management and event coordination, which may include creating project resources, setting up databases, sourcing information, corresponding with project stakeholders and producing reports. The key accountabilities will be: 1. Provide project management support for priority Talent, Organisational Development and Diversity projects as required. 2. Help manage project data, support development of project resources and contribute to reports as required. 3. Provide general administrative and event management support for the project. 4. Build relationships and contribute to effective communications with project stakeholders. 5. Undertake ad-hoc projects and other activities. The Talent and Diversity Project Assistant (Intern) provides assistance and support to undertake priority projects and events and contribute to the delivery of the University of Sydney Strategic Plan. This includes assisting with the project management and event coordination, which may include creating project resources, setting up databases, sourcing information, corresponding with project stakeholders and producing reports.

The key accountabilities will be:

1. Provide project management support for priority Talent, Organisational Development and Diversity projects as required.

2. Help manage project data, support development of project resources and contribute to reports as required.

3. Provide general administrative and event management support for the project.4. Build relationships and contribute to effective communications with project stakeholders.5. Undertake ad-hoc projects and other activities.

The Diversity and Inclusion Project Assistant Intern works with guidance and supervision from the Director, Talent, Organisational Development and Diversity and the TODD team to undertake priority projects and contribute to the delivery of the University of Strategic Plan. Problems that cannot be resolved and are outside the scope of their key accountabilities are referred to the Director, Talent, Organisational Development and Diversity or more senior co-workers. They work with a range of staff across the TODD team and stakeholders in the University environment to meet work area objectives. They must be sensitive to inclusion and diversity issues, and be able to consider the range of stakeholder interests in all interactions.

Selection Criteria

The successful candidate will have: Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. Ability to work independently, with support from a supervisor, and as part of a team. Ability to show initiative, exercise sound judgement and bring a solutions and results

oriented mindset

Ability to organise and prioritise work, sometimes under pressure, with competing priorities and sometimes limited supervision.

Ability to adhere to deadlines Excellent administrative, organisational, analytical and event management skills. Completing a Bachelor or Postgraduate degree in business, finance, commerce human

resource management or organisational studies

Desirable

Experience working with a diverse group of people on projects, events or initiatives. This may include volunteer, university or community activities.

Experience and familiarity with the tertiary education sector. Numeracy skills such as tracking income/expenditure to monitor reconciliation/budgets. Competent user of Microsoft Office (especially Word, Excel and Powerpoint) or similar

software programs.
