With a workforce of 40,000 around the world, we constantly offer the best solutions andmost innovative technologies to our clients to meet the world’s energy challenges.
We operate in three main businesses:
Offshore
In the Offshore business segmentTechnip performs engineering, procurement, construction, installation, commissioning and therefurbishment/upgrading of offshorefacilities for the oil and gas industry.
Technip provides these services forfixed platforms in shallow water withconventional sub-structures andself-installing platforms such as theTPG 500 and for deepwater facilitiesincluding Spar, semi-submersible, TLP,FPSO and FLNG units. Technip is aworld leader in floatover installationof topsides and its R&D effort isfocused technology transfer for localcontent and new frontier areas suchas ultra-deepwater and the Arctic.
Onshore
Technip covers the full range ofonshore facilities for the oil and gaschain, petrochemicals and otherenergy industries (nuclear, renewablesincluding biofuels and offshore wind). It holds many proprietary cutting-edge technologies and is the leader inthe design and construction of LNGand gas treatment plants as well asethylene, hydrogen and syngas units.
Technip is also one of the key actorsin refining and petrochemical units, and has developed a leadershipposition in the fertilizer industry. Moreover, the Group is very active innon-energy activities such as miningand metals, life sciences, buildings andinfrastructures.
Subsea
In subsea hydrocarbon development,Technip’s activities include the design, manufacture and installation of rigid andflexible subsea pipelines and umbilicals. Thanks to its portfolio of technologiesand industrial and operational assets,Technip offers a unique verticallyintegrated model in the industry.
The Group has 3 flexible pipemanufacturing plants, 4 umbilicalproduction units, 9 logistics and pipelineassembly bases, and 1 construction yard.Technip’s worldwide leadership issupported by a modern fleet of vesselsfor subsea construction, pipelaydevelopment (rigid and flexible pipesusing S-Lay, J-Lay or Reeled technology)and heavy lift applications.
Technip is a world leader in project management, engineering andconstruction for the energy industry.

Through the skills and expertise of our qualified engineers and technicians, we areroutinely expanding into related markets, delivering major components for subseaprojects worldwide. We have also demonstrated our capability to apply our know-how from the Group’score activities to the Renewable Energy market, thus achieving a world’s first.
Subsea market
By adapting the high level manufacturing technology applied to Spar platforms anddiversifying its application range, we are now delivering critical components to someof the most challenging projects in the Gulf of Mexico and West Africa.
Technip Offshore Finland is a reliable partner for delivering subsea structures like:Buoyancy cans for Free Standing Hybrid RisersSuction piles for manifolds, risers or tethersPipeline End Terminations (PLETs) Flowline End Tensioners (FLETs)In-Line Tees (ILTs)Final Terminal Assemblies (FTAs)In-Line Terminal Assemblies (ITAs)
Renewable energy
Technip Offshore Finlandengineered and fabricated thesub-structure for Hywind, theworld’s first full scale offshore floating wind turbine, off the Norwegiancoast.
Again, by adapting our core competencies, we are able to deliver:Slender Spar, semi or TLP sub-structures for deepwater floating windturbinesFoundations for shallow water fixed wind turbinesFloating or fixed sub-structures for Substation platforms

In the summer of 2001 we carried out the first single pieceTruss Spar transport across the Atlantic Ocean from ouryard in Finland to the Gulf of Mexico. For this majorchallenge the largest existing heavy lift carrier wasdeployed. During the Summer of 2008, the 8th single pieceSpar hull was transported to the Gulf of Mexico.
Advanced transport analysis andengineering make it possible toperform single piece transport of Sparhulls directly from manufacturing siteto area of operation.
