Key Question: What do these adjectives make us think about? Display an images or images of poverty. Key Question: Is it fair that this is happening in our world today? Give everyone the opportunity to share his or her own thoughts using an agreed sign that they are willing to share e.g. placing a hand in a giving gesture/showing a green card. Time for reflection: Key Question: If you could make one change that would lessen poverty what would it be? Positive conclusion: Share past successes that your school/group has had when raising money for a charitable cause. Emphasise to the children that we can all make a positive difference, be it big or small. Continue the learning: Leave an ideas board in an accessible place and encourage children to add their ideas for making a positive change. Encourage creativity by allowing for both doable ideas as well as ideas that might currently be beyond us.
