SYNOPSIS
THE MOST DISASTROUS AFFAIR ALARMING
CURRENTLY IS “GLOBAL WARMING” DUE TO
SEVERE ENVIRONMENTAL POLLUTION.“PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE ’’
SHOULD BE THE ONLY SLOGAN AND SHOULD
CREATE AWARNESS IN EACH INDUSTRIALIST’S
MIND OVER THE WORLD . IMPLEMENTATION OF PROGRAMMES,
PLANTING OF NEW TREES IN LAKHS, FOCUSSING
ON GREEN REVOLUTIONARY SCHEMES ARE
ESSENTIAL. USE WEAPONS FOR
CONSTRUCTION AND AVOID USING FOR
DESTRUCTION.

Introduction
Pollution, contamination of Earth’s environment
with materials that interfere with human health,
The quality of life, or the natural functioning of ecosystems (living organisms and their physical
surroundings). Although some environmental
pollution is a result of natural causes such as
volcanic eruptions, most is caused by human activities.
There are two main categories of polluting materials, or pollutants.Biodegradable pollutants are materials, such as sewage, that
rapidly decompose by natural processes. These pollutants
become a problem when added to the environment faster than
they can decompose (see Sewage Disposal). Non bio-degradable pollutants are materials that either do not decompose or
decompose slowly in the natural environment. Once
contamination occurs, it is difficult or impossible to remove these
pollutants from the environment.

What is Pollution?
Introduction of pollutants into the
environment which deteriorate the
nature and harm living resourcesand ecosystems thereby
endangering human health.

PREVENTION

http://slidepdf.com/reader/full/polluton 25/26
Utilizing light sources of minimum
intensity is necessary to accomplishthe light's purpose. Turning lights off using a
timer or occupancy sensor or manually when
not needed. Improving lighting fixtures, so that they direct
their light more accurately towards where it is
needed, and with less side effects. Adjusting the type of lights used, so that the
light waves emitted are those that are less likely
to cause severe light pollution problems.
