Module programming

Power up the XK09

Once done, the interface red LED will turn ON.

If connected in W2W

Connect the 20-pin harness.

If connected in D2D

Connect the 4-pin D2D harness first, then connect the 20-pin harness.

Caution! The 20-pin connector can be easily plugged in backwards.

Make the necessary connections in the vehicle, as instructed in the vehicle-specific guides.

Connect the remote starter to the vehicle

Make all the connections as per the provided wiring schematics, either in W2W or D2D.

Insert the key into the ignition at the OFF position and hold the Programming button down for at least 2 seconds. The LED flashes rapidly for 2 seconds to confirm you are in programming mode.

Release the Programming button. The LED first flashes a number of times slowly to indicate the MODE. It then flashes a number of times quickly to indicate the OPTION.

User Configuration - Optional Programming

USER MODES are identified by a slow LED flashing pattern. For example, 1 slow flash = Mode1 and 2 slow flashes = Mode 2.

Module Programming

If the vehicle is equipped with Keyless Data, press any button on the factory remote. If it is not available, tap both Keyless Data wires to (-) Ground for a short instant.

The LED turns ON solid while the wires are connected.

Once the module has been properly connected, the LED turns ON and then turns OFF.

Follow the procedure described in the User Configuration - Optional Programming section on page 8 to enter a Mode.

MODE 8 - To reset the options to zero.*OPTION 1 = No reset. OPTION 2 = Complete reset of the options and restart of the module.

* Default option.

MODE 9 - Optional programming of the Trunk, Aux 1 and Aux 2 features.

Default values:- Trunk: Open trunk.- Aux 1: Open driver-side sliding door (when applicable).- Aux 2: Open right passenger-side sliding door (when applicable).

For example, to open the trunk, we could want to unlock the doors (to disarm the factory alarm), open the trunk and lock the doors (to arm the factory alarm) just by pressing the TRUNK button.

1. Connect the wires associated to the feature you want to program Trunk, Aux 1 or Aux 2 to (-) Ground.2. Activate the option by pressing the LOCK or UNLOCK button on the remote start transmitter.3. The LED turns ON. You will have 10 seconds to begin step 4.4. Press all factory-remote buttons you want to create your sequence. The delay between each command MUST NOT

exceed 3 seconds.5. Wait for the LED to turn OFF, then release the wires from (-) Ground.6. The LED will then flash twice quickly to indicate that the operation was successful. If it flashes once quickly, start again

from step 1.7. To exit the programming mode, press and hold the Programming button until the LED flashes once quickly

Start procedurePress and release the lock button, and immediately press the START* button. Once the engine has started, the parking lights stay on during the entire time the engine is running (10 minutes).

To add 10 minutes to the engine runtimeOnce the vehicle is remotely started, press and release the lock button, and immediately press the START* button. This will add 10 minutes to the engine runtime.

Stop procedureOnce the vehicle has been started remotely, it can be stopped by pressing the START* button.

* The required button sequence for each operation may vary depending on the remote control you are using. Please refer to its corresponding user guide for more information.

The vehicle cannot be started more than twice using the range extender for the factory remote start system. It has to be re-started with the key before any other attempt to remote start. Please refer to the vehicle user guide for more information.
