Embryo: undeveloped plant that includes all the parts of a mature plant. baby plant
Cotyledon: Contains food- oils, carbohydrates and protein. This provides energy for the initial underground growth of the plant. Becomes the seed leaf.
Seed coat: protects these delicate internal structures.
