The Roots
Roots soak in water and store food. The rootsare the anchors that keep the plant in theground. The roots get bigger and bigger. They
are strong. They absorb water so easily. Without the roots of a plant, the plant couldn’t survive. The plant couldn’t store food. The plantwouldn’t grow. We wouldn’t get oxygen, and weneed oxygen to live.
The roots are AMAZING!

The Sprouts
The sprouts grow after the roots. To get sprouts to grow, you need water, sunlight, soil, carbondioxide and space.
Did you know that people take plants into spaceand plants can grow there?Did you know that some gardeners take outsome of the sprouts that aren’t too big, to make
room for the other plants to grow bigger.
Sprouts are AMAZING!

The Leaves
The leaves of a plant store food, make food, and they trap in sunlight and takes in the air or carbon dioxide. Plants grow towards the sunlight
to get the nutrients and energy the plant needs to grow.
Did you know leaves grow everywhere, exceptfor Antarctica?
