PLANNING
- We each created a collage of images and poses that we liked to
help our models during their photoshoots.

- I want my models to base their poses on popular, young, music artists. As our target audience is mainly young women, the photos need to appeal to them and so I want them to have a more fashion magazine look. The poses also need to be quirky to attract the attention of the reader and original so as to keep them interested.

- I created a collage of a variety of photographs of young female music artists, as I am interested in using a female in my main photoshoot. I have chosen a selection of different poses which are more fashion orientated as we wanted our magazine to have a sense of glamour as well as music to appeal to our target audience of young females who usually read fashion magazines.

- My photos are mainly of girls as I want my front cover picture to feature a girl. They are also mainly close-ups as I wanted my front cover image to be a close-up. Most of the photos have an indie/rock style due to our magazine focussing on that genre of music.
- After taking the images, we had to choose the best ones to use in
our final products.

•Location: Against a blank wall•Clothing: Individual style to tie in with article
•Make-up: For girls, smokey eyes; for boys, none
After taking a selection of images of each of my models, I then picked my favourites and the ones which I thought would be most appropriate and suitable for the magazine. I had to narrow my
selection down and then began editing the final chosen photos. The editing included airbrushing,
changing colours, rotating and resizing.

•Location: Against a blank and brick wall.•Clothing: I chose 3 different outfits which were bright, bold colours which stood out against the plain white wall. The outfits are stylish but subtle
which will attract our target audience.•Make-up: I kept the make-up fairly simple yet with
dramatic red lips and dark eyeliner which are common looks in the music industry.
•Props: I used a mask in some of the photos as I saw this used in photos of Katy Perry when
creating my collage of ideas and thought it looked effective. I also used sunglasses with both the
female and male models to add a touch of rockstar quality.
