Too Far

Narrative/Story

The film follows two adolescent boys; Rob, a harmless boy practicing football skills on his own, and Dennis, a troublesome youth with an urge to hurt others and steal things. Dennis steals a football Rob is playing with, resulting in a chase across school.

Requirements of the brief

• Needs to be 1 - 5 minutes long• Cannot include any dialogue• Must be filmed on college grounds• You can film in your own time, however you will have to supply your own equipment• Made for 16-19 year olds

16-19 year olds (most likely teenagers)

Purpose

The main purpose of this film is to entertain the audience. It aims to do this by providing comedy and action themes which will keep the audience intrigued throughout. The audience, which will be teenagers, will be entertained by this film because there are teenagers present as the main characters and there are lots of humorous tones throughout. The film generally provides insight as to what life can be like at school.

Bad weather • Choose another day to film. • Be prepared to change filming location.

Equipment failure • Check all equipment before using it.• Bring extra equipment just in case failure

occurs.

Location: • Field in use for a PE lesson. • Animals running across the field

• Check location before using. • Film another day or at another location.

Full SD card • Put in a new card.• Upload all files from the card onto the computer and then format the card and reinsert it to the camera.• Carry a spare SD card on set.

Empty battery • Carry another fully charged battery on set.• Check the amount of power left in the battery before we use it.

Trip or fall • Be aware of natural obstructions and tripod legs. • When doing fake tackles, do not use undue force.

Equipment • Be aware of where equipment is placed on the location at all times.

Questions by staff • Carry student card to prove who we are.• Explain to them why we’re filming.

Cars coming past the way to the field • Look around for cars or other vehicles.• Use the zebra crossing.

Slipping • Cleaners cleaning the floor in the Atrium.• Raining outside.• We will look out for ‘caution wet floor signs.’

Day 5 • Put all the videos together in order of which time they were filmed.
