It was released in the United Kingdom on 4 September 2011 as the album's lead single. The song has had mainly positive reviews such as Pip Ellwood of Entertainment Focus review which was “another gem that sits nicely next to Pixie's previous singles but stands alone as a strong pop track.." We have chosen this track because we like the dance pop genre that it has to it and we have a range of ideas for the narrative and video that we can develop and use below. The music video Our video is going to be narrative based as videos in this genre usually are, it is going to be centrally focused on the main actress of the video who is going to do the lip sync and is centrally focused in the narrative and video. She is going to be dressed vibrantly throughout the video to show the positive message of the songs narration. Hoping to use a range of various outfits for the different shots and different lipsticks as well to keep the viewers entertained but still continue with the feminine sexy theme. To show her femininity the shots and outfits will emphasize her sexuality and attract the male eye however the outfits will also be bright and vibrant to make the females attracted wanting to wear the clothes. The narrative of the video will link in with the lyrics which we feel are about a party so we are going to create various situations which fit in with this theme. The different locations will be shown consistently and evenly throughout the video in different shots. The locations we are aiming to have in the shots are: Firstly at a flat showing the actress getting ready for the party showing a range of shots of her getting ready, specifically at the start and this is the

Background to the song

“All about tonight” is a pop song written by Pixie lott, Canadian singer-songwriter Tebey and producer Brian Kidd in Los Angeles. It was the debut song from Pixie Lotts second album “Young Foolish Love” and was number one on the” UK singles sales chart” becoming Pixie Lotts third number one.

The music video

Our video is going to be narrative based as videos in this genre usually are, it is going to be centrally focused on the main actress of the video who is going to do the lip sync and is centrally focused in the narrative and video.

The locations we are aiming to have in the shots are: Firstly at a flat showing the actress getting ready for the party showing a range of shots of her getting ready, specifically at the start and this is the location the video will begin with. Also there will a location of the party itself with the female as the centre focus, Shots which we also hope to show are aspects of the party such as the female in the hot tub or convertible possibly to relate to the theme and narrative. Close ups of the female will also be used of the face and of the shoes to relate to the lyrics as a key line is “I got a new pair of shoes.” We hope to show a diverse amount of makeup and shoes which will keep the viewers entertained in close up shots from the first and party location.

The shots in which we hope to use throughout the video hopefully show a wide range of skill. At the start of the video we hoped to show quick shots of the flat and things the female has used to get ready such as makeup and mirrors. When the line which says “I’ve got a new pair of shoes” we hope to show the shoes walking. Another shot we hope to do is when the line says “I got a new attitude when I walk

cause I’m so over you” She will walked down the corridor of the house and point to the camera to direct with the audience. We also hope to create a shot wear the camera is focused on one location then spins and goes to another location at one point. Another shot we hoped to show is a close up of the female with her eyes closed which will suddenly open to the beat of the song. We also hope to show a range of close up and shots for the various locations and create shorter faster shots on the faster parts of the song.

We are hoping to find locations that fit all four of the places which we hoped to have in the video and a range of bright and colourful outfits and makeup to complete our narrative and video. We are gaining inspiration from videos such as Katy Perry “Last Friday Night” and Lady Gaga “Just dance” for the narrative and setting of the video.
