There are three superheroes with superpowers

battling against a mechanical robot.

The three superheroes have individual powers such

as fire and lightening, the other superhero

transforms into a worm.

The theme of the game is a action/comedy video

game using health bars and special power bars.

When deciding the location, we wanted

somewhere with a lot of space as we needed to

show wide shots of the robot in battle, so we chose

a nearby field with trees In the background to

demonstrate how big the robot would be

compared to humans.

This big open space is a perfect location and is

easy to shoot as it’s a quiet, unpopulated area.

There are no obstructions in view which will help a

lot, we also chose to film on a cloudy day as the

sky is a big feature in our sequence.

When researching we looked at the special FX in

the film Scott Pilgrim vs. the world as it has many

effects that can be useful for us in our project

We also researched in cartoons and video games

such as Dragon ball Z, Tekken, Mortal Kombat and

street fighter.

There are many good examples of VFX in the

film Scott pilgrim vs. the world. The live action

video game theme is exactly what we are

going for.

We researched into the effects that are most commonly used in video games such as Tekken and mortal combat, we researched into these games to get ideas for health bars, timers, scores and effects, together with elements such as fire and lightning.
