With the above ]n m]nd, they have started actual work on the build]ng of a new bridge a short distance above the mouth of the East I'ork of Bear Creek and are blasting a new road for several hundred feet un the Little Bear end of the bridge to connect the old grade with the bridge approach. Th]s arrangement will free the structure from the strain of the double flood waters oi the two creeks and give a more certain access to Little Bear Ridge at ail t] mes. The new road on American Ridge is just about completed and is a specimen of work which ]s favorable to the operation of the Districts t]cavy road machinery. The dressing rooms have not yet been secured but wi]l be soon. Kids Wallop Cuba Jesse Holfman had a narrow es- cape from death on Thursday morn- ing on Sperry grade.
