INTRODUCTION TO SCIENCE FICTION(ENGL 2984)An introduction to the study of literary science fiction. HISTORY OF SLAVERY (HIST 3615)Studies ways in which Western slavery and emancipation were experienced, perceived, explained, symbolized and related to European attitudes. Focuses on the lives of African slaves.

INTRODUCTORY SPANISH II(SPAN 1204)Continuation of SPAN 1203. Students will build on the materials covered in SPAN 1203. Emphasis will be placed on improved listening, speaking, reading and writing. RELIGION, MAGIC AND WITCHCRAFT IN THE MEDIEVAL WORLD (HIST 1008)This general interest course introduces students to the complex and fascinating realm of religious and scientific beliefs and magical practices maintained by people living during the high and late Middle Ages in Europe and the Middle East, from about 1200 AD to 1600 AD. Considerable attention will be paid to the development of the Inquisition against heresy, the growing fear over supposed diabolical conspiracies and the development of the diabolical witch stereotype in the fifteenth and sixteenth centuries.

The UNB Music Conservatory offers a comprehensive music learning program, including private music lessons, performing ensembles for players of any level, music theory instruction, and over 50 instruments available to rent. Community members of all ages have the opportunity to perform in concerts and special events throughout the year. Be sure to check out our always innovative MusicUNB Concert series as well!

PRIVATE LESSONSPrivate lessons are available on a wide variety of instruments and styles. The UNB Conservatory maintains a roster of highly talented and qualified instructors to help you develop existing skills or learn a new instrument. Fees vary between $20 – $60 per lesson depending on the instructor and lesson length.

DISCLAIMER: The agreement and the rights and obligations of the parties here under shall be governed by the Laws of the Province of New Brunswick. Any action or proceeding for relief under this contract shall be brought in the Province of New Brunswick. UNB reserves the right to cancel course offerings for low enrolment and other circumstances including, but not limited to, the availability of qualified instructors.
