A Day In the Life
School Starts at 7:35am
The building opens for students at 7:15am
Breakfast is available for purchase each morning- Students must go to their locker, then
to their class to check in with their homeroom teacher, and then go to the cafeteria to get breakfast.
- Students need to have money on their account to get breakfast.
The bell for homeroom rings at 7:35am sharp!- Don’t be tardy…students have 10
minutes to get their life together and get to class on time!
- Say hi to your friends in passing, but keep it moving.
But where are my classes?
• Social Studies and Science classes are to the left of the Media Center.
• Language Arts classes are to the right of the Media Center.
• Math classes are either to the right of the Media Center or at the front of the building.
• Related Arts and Performing Arts are in the front of the building.
• Gym: The boy’s stairs to the gym are located to the right of the gym and the girl’s stairs are located to the left of the gym.
• The Counseling Department is at the front of the building.

• Performing Arts meets every other day all year.
• PE/Health takes place during 1 semester or a full year.
• Computer Science, GTT, Art, and Music are semester classes
and will be taken every other day for 1 semester.

Things to Think about• No Back Packs or Bags
• Students will need to place all of these things in their locker
• Students will eat lunch with their entire grade at once, but seated by the class they are in before lunch
• In order to get permission to leave the classroom, students must have the agenda book and write a pass
• School is over at 2:15pm!• Before students leave the building, they should make
sure they have their homework, jacket, cell phone, and books before heading to their bus
• Students will be given a locker for the year
• Students can go to their locker 3 times during the day:• Upon arriving to school• After 4th period • At dismissal
• Students may not share their locker or combination.
• Keep the combination in a safe place!
• Students will also get a PE locker for their PE uniform and hygiene products.
• They will need to get a combination lock for their PE Locker. • We suggest that students practice using this combination
lock over the summer.
LOCKERS
All of these things belong in the locker at all times.Students cannot keep them on them.
Agenda book
The agenda book serves as a daily planner for students! Additionally, the agenda book can be used as a form of communication between home and
school. It costs $7.00 and will be sold at orientation and during lunch the first
week of school.
PE UniformStudents are required to purchase a gym uniform.
Uniforms cost $25 and can be purchased during New
Student Orientation or during the first week of school
(or first week of the second semester)
