CHALLENGES
10
15
Manufacturing and repairing of large-scale components iscomplex, highly manual, time-consuming andimprecise/inaccurate processes:
Design and construction preparation: 20-25% of total costs of one-of-a-kind components.
Tolerances, deformations… impose constant reconfiguration and adaptation of the work.
Preserving industry-specific knowledge and skills.
PeneloPe develops novel holistic approaches, leveraging the potential of Artificial Intelligence (AI), IoT/connectivity, mobile and ubiquitous ICT tools and robotics.
CONCEPT AND APPROACH
12
PENELOPE project will develop a methodology linking product-centric data management and production planning and scheduling in a closed-loop digital pipeline.
The innovation resulting from PENELOPE project rely on developing cutting edge technologies such as:
PeneloPe´s concept and approach
PRODUCT CENTRIC DATA MANAGEMENT for defining production planning
DIGITAL PIPELINE for end-to-end dataflow
DIGITAL TWINS integrating data models
ZERO-DEFECT MANUFACTURING STRATEGY for an early defect detection
13 FLEXIBLE WORKER-CENTRIC SOLUTIONS
14
PeneloPe´s concept and approach
A Novel methodology for ensuring an accurate and precise manufacturability from the initial product design.
is to develop a novel closed-loop digital pipeline
based on the development of modular and
reconfigurable production approach for the
manufacturing of high-precision large-scale parts.
In short, PeneloPe´s main goal:
