Important Notes• Thetolerances(mentionedonpage3)forMACOparallel-apply - sliding hardware PAS should not beexceeded.Inadditiontothis,informationfromprofilemanufacturerspertainingtoPAS; particularly to sash dimensions and sash weight must be adhered to. Production regulations or processing guidelines must be observed. Guidelines of screw-in speed and torques have to be adhered to.

• Thedescribedfittingsmentionedintheseinstructionsaremadefrompassivizedgalvanicmaterial, rustproof material or of steel and are sealed according to DIN ENG 12329. Do not use in surroundings with aggressive, corrosive air.

• UseonlyMACOfittingsandthespecifiedequipmentofprofilemanufacturers.Failuretocorrectly followofficialrecommendationsmayresultindamageforwhichMACOdonotassumeanyliability.

• Installallhardwarecomponentscorrectlyasdescribedinthismanualandobserveallsafety notifications.

• Alwaysusetherecommendedscrewsizes.

• Insertthescrewsstraight(unlessstatedotherwise)anddonotovertighten,otherwisetheeaseof movementcanbeaffected.

• Ensurethescrewsofthesupportingcomponents(e.g.carriage,runningandguiderails)are sufficientlytightened.

• Storage conditions of the sliding element must be installed vertically.

• The tilt and slide elements can only get surface treated before the assembly of the fittings. In this case, any warranty claims become the responsibility of the fitting manufacturer.

• Observe the Technical Directive no. 3 of glazing: (Blocking of glazing units).

• Donotusechemicalsealantscontainingacids,asthismayresultincorrosionofthehardware components.

• Keeptheslidingrailandallrebatesfreeofdepositsandpollution;particularlyofcementorcleaning deposits. Avoid wetting or excessive moisture and contact with acidic cleaning products.

• Pleaseobserveallguidlinesandinstructionsontheproductandonliability(VHBE)“

• Informendusersaboutthecontentoftheguidelinesandinstructionsforendusers(VHBE)

• Insurethattheoperationalstickerisstuckonthesashandisclearlyvisibletotheenduseron completion of an installation

• Donotmakeanystructuralchangestothehardware.

• Byoveruseorimproperuseofthelift-slidefitting,thesashmaycomeoffthetrack,fallandcause serious injury. When used in special circumstances (in schools, kindergartens, etc.) where it is expected that the lift-slide element may be overused or incorrectly used, this must be prevented by taking appropriate measures.
