Troposcope, device for projection 360 degrees. Inspired by optical de-
vices of the late nineteenth century, trope, in Greek, means turning. Its con-
templation should be made as a sculpture, where the observer must rotate
around the piece. What changes in that medium is the inability to observe the
entire screen in the same position. If we have two observers, one on each side
of troposcópio, they are watching different portions of the same video. As if
the screen was divided into two areas, front and back, but I prefer to call past
and present.

Squared
Series of drawings made with felt-tip pen on squared paper composed of triptychs and polyptychs. The series is made from the concept of Pixel.
Pixel is the abbreviation of picture element (an element of the figure). It is the smallest part of a digitized image. Each dot (pixel) has the information that determines its color, and the set of points is arranged in the form of matrix which forms the image.
The series “squared” is performed based on the concept of digital image formation, where each matrix makes up a city and these combine and multiply.

This work, developed since 2005, unfolds in photomontages in which digital images
combine to cities motherboards. In these images, travel photos, integrate the drawings
that create contrast and strangeness. Two references for the study were experimental
cinema and the literature of Jorge Luis Borges and Italo Calvino.

Some elements are recurrent in the videos and drawings. Portals, diving suits, ships, airplanes,
robots - like the turtle robot - are the bridge between the real world and the fantastic.

The project has a multiplatform strategy, and includes the use of new media, electronic resources
and new software depending on the language experimentation. In addition to the previous series
there is a plane of motion, animated drawings incorporated into landscapes. The brackets will be
video installations, projections and interactive electronic media.
The following images are the result of a projection outside the Museum of Contemporary Art in
Niteroi - MAC.
