I’m Paul a 27 year old student at the Hanzehogeschool. I was and born just outside a small village called Marknesse.

I was raised on a farm with a huge greenhouse. Were my dad grew roses and palmtrees. I Have one big sister and two younger brothers. All of them are Graphic Designers in one form or the other.

The booklet that you are holding is about Me.It is the product of a school assignment thatinvolved: Photography, Creativity, Design andPrePress. I chose to do it all in englishbecause the topics that we are

supposed to highlight, seen on the right, are all in englishand so is the title of this course.

Para-digms

I believe that if we all could imagine how the other person felt or perceived the world there would be no conflict at all. Unfortunately this isn’t the case. It is as

hard others as it is for me to imagine someone else’s point of view. Everybody has a dif- ferent back- ground and his own take on

the World around him. I as an advisor should try to sympathize with the other person as much as possible

to under- stand his point of view. Communicat-ing

Communica- tion is one of the most important traits an advisor has to have. To be able to communicate

you have to be able to send a clear message, but also be able to listen well. The latter i haven’t had

any problems with. I don’t have to strain myself to listen well. Sending a clear message however is a bit hard for me, especially verbally. I

would advise my- self to First consider what message i am going to

translate and then actu-ally send it.

First consider what mes- sage i am going to translate and then actually send it. Flexibility & Creativity

Flexibil- ity is a good trait. As an advisor you should definitely be flexible and in no way stubborn. I myself have

always been flexible, but most of the time i already have an idea about how something should be dealt

with. This could stand in my way when i have to look at a case from a different point of view or take another ap-proach at it. Tak- ing in someone else’s ideas always helps in the creative process. I should learn to let go of my own ideas and listen to oth- ers as an advisor.

My inspiration comes from allot of different sources but mostly beautiful things. The biggest two senses that inspire me would be hearing and seeing. Those two are best stimulated by Music andMovies. I have a love for both and they both inspire me to create something i find beautiful.

Probably the most important thing for my future is to be happy and healthy.

Next up is Family. They are important to me now and will be in the future. Maybe i´ll even start my own.

I would like to travel the world. See every country once and experience new cultures.

Less important but very nice to have is a place i can call home.

I woul like to either start my own company when im done with school or have one in the future.
