Methodology
1. Construct a questionnaire consisting of two main parts:
Direct questions (knowledge of first aid steps).
Scenarios (measuring their decision making abilities).
Including: 10 multiple choice-questions 5 simple basics questions 5 case scenarios

3. Workshop for the female catering staff about simple first aid steps & how to react in different situations regarding patient & public safety .
The learning objectives were presented as a slide show and role play Using a First aid kit and manikins.
The presentation content were as follow:
1. First-aid definition2. The aim of First-aid3. First-aider responsibilities 4. Basic rules in First-aid5. Actions to take in the following medical
emergencies: Bleeding Amputation & puncturing objects injures Head, neck & spine injures + Broken bones & sprains Burns + Electrical Animal & human bites Poisons Temperature related ER (especially Heat) Shock Choking

4. Design a simple pamphlet in Arabic for our target group who attended & to those who were not able to come..
The pamphlet included the first aid guide lines in the following situations:
Bleeding Burns Temperature related ER Head, neck & spine injures + Broken
bones & sprains Choking

5. Data collection & entry on SPSS "measuring the significance of our intervention in improving their first aid knowledge & decision making skills".
Results
Before giving the course they answered 39.5 % of the questions correctly
But after the workshop their correct answers reached to a 67.7 %

Nearly two-thirds (59%) wouldn’t feel confident trying to save a life
A quarter (24%) would do nothing and wait for an ambulance to arrive or hope that a passer-by knows first aid
