SJ Adoration in Church 9:30-10:30 am and 7-8 pm
God's banquet table extends through
every porch and neighborhood, every kitchen and family
room, every church and community center. It includes
places of honor for every one - the cherished neighbor
and the hurting, confused soul; it welcomes all with
words of encouragement and an open, listening heart.
Places like a family or neighbors porch are places where
Christ's humble and reconciling spirit of generous
service is celebrated: the realization that we share with
every human being the dignity of being made in the
image and likeness of God. May we all know a place like
the porch where we welcome all as we would welcome
Christ; a porch where we can find shelter from the rain
and wind; a porch where everyone finds a cold drink
and a warm embrace on life's toughest, hottest days.
