How well do you know your faith?
O great St. Helena, patroness of our diocese, who for love of Our Lord made pilgrimage to the Holy Land to mark the sites of his Paschal Mystery, grant, I pray, that you would intercede to the Father on behalf of the Church in western Montana as we await the appointment of our next bishop. Grant that we will be sent a spiritual shepherd after the Sacred Heart of Jesus, the Good Shepherd who laid down his life for us, His sheep. Pray to God that we will be given a bishop who is faithful and just, holy and wise, loving and zealous. May he be completely devoted to the Lord and to the service of the people entrusted to his care, so that the Diocese of Helena may experience a new springtime of growth in holiness and the number of souls drawn to the Lord through his Church. Amen.

5. This saint was born in Italy and served as an aide to Pope Leo I on many official assignments. One was to
attend a council that was held in Ephesus without official approval. His task was to report on a heresy of
the denial of Christ’ humanity. This had already been condemned by an earlier council and he and his dele-
gation where physically attacked, barely escaping and returning to Rome. When Pope Leo died, our saint
was elected Bishop of Rome. He did much to strengthen the church, especially in France and Spain. He
defended the pope, not the emperor, as being the leader in spiritual matters, and rebuilt many churches in
Rome. His feast day is February 28. Who is he?

You’re Invited: to our 11th Annual Fundraising Banquet
held on March 7, 2019, at The Commons.
Doors open at 5:30 p.m. Dinner will be provided and the
evening will include a silent auction, time of fellowship, clinic updates and a
presentation from our Keynote Speaker, Gianna Jessen.
Gianna is an abortion survivor, and
pro-life advocate who was intended to die
before she was born, just another one of
the 1.2 million abortions each year in the
United States. Instead of death, though,
Gianna was bathed in a burning saline
solution, which she overcame to enter the
world. A life that was never meant to be
has been used to inspire -even save- others.
Join us in hearing her story!
For ticket information please visit the website
at www.stcatherinehealth.org or call Kelsie at 406-388-7035.
By this time last year, our parish had not only met its goal for our Diocese's ACA,
but over 100 households had contributed.
Currently, only 73 have, and consequently, we still have not met our goal. If you have not yet given, please
take an ACA envelope from the foyer, or visit diocesehelena.org and follow the
links to make a gift online.
Please remember that this appeal provides for the ordinary operating
income for our local Church, and it is very necessary -
this is what supports our chancery, youth activities, seminarians, and elderly
clergy. Let’s do our part!
I have sent in my gift, and I hope you will too - and my thanks to all that have
already given. - Fr. Gilbaugh
