Question One

Page 3: Past student evaluation – ruby and carla

Question One• The first question is done in the style of a vlog.• I like how they included clips from their video to

help demonstrate what they’re talking about when it came to Goodwin’s theories. I’ll definitely include this.

• I like the pictures that they’ve used and I also like how they have included a screen cast into it. I think they could have incorporated these into the video more and have them talking over them which would make it more interesting to watch, instead of it going silent.

Question One• It didn’t seem to go into much detail and it didn’t

last for very long. • It ends a bit abruptly and mid-sentence. It feels as if

they could have carried on.• They’ve mentioned the research they’ve done and

showed this by showing their vlog.• When talking about Goodwin’s theories, they don’t

give any examples which would have been nice to see.

• And when talking about the genre they’ve picked they could have given some examples.

Question One• In conclusion, I feel this question really lacks

examples and depth. However, I really like that they’ve included both screen casts and extracts from their video to show how they included things.

Question Two• For question two, they’ve used a prezi.• They have a really good use of pictures throughout.

And I think the “maze” appearance is very clever.• I like how they’ve spoken about the details of what

their house style is (for example the colours) and how they actually made the product.

• It feels quite wordy, as if they’ve gone into a lot of detail in some parts, but in parts directly relating to the question they’ve not gone into so much detail.

Question Two• I like how they’ve spoken about the reasons behind

their decisions • How they mention their likes and dislikes for each is a

good feature but could have been related to the question a bit more.

• I feel that they should have spoken more about the research that went into it.

• “What could we have done better?” is a good section to have.

• Even though they talk about each product, they don’t talk much about how they all link together with synergy. It feels like it could have been more technical.

Question Two• In conclusion I feel like it could have been more

linked to the question. They have lots of detail but not all of it is relevant detail.

Question Three

Question Three• Even though slideshare is a great tool, I feel that it’s

not the best technology to use because it’s not as interesting as others to watch and getting information across is more difficult.

• They talk about the recording of people’s reactions but we don’t get to see it which is a shame.

• There aren’t many photos to assist the text.

Question Three• I like how they discussed why audience feedback is

so important but it could have been given some more detail.

• It’s good they have a conclusion, it rounds the powerpoint off nicely.

Question Four

Question Three• I like the style they’ve used here and how there is

something constantly on the screen and there’s a mixture of both photos, videos and screencasts

• They’ve talked about what they found was good and bad about each technology and how it was implemented into their work.

• They did talk about what the technology does• I like the constant flow of speech, but feel it could

have been edited slightly.• This question is probably the strongest of the four

and has a good length and reasonable amount of detail.
