my homework.

While we were walking the dog, the neighbours were washing their car.

I saw a mouse under the couch yesterday, when I was reading a book.

De Past Continuous kun je op twee manieren gebruiken.

-Om aan te geven dat er tegelijkertijd iets anders bezig was;

While I was reading the papers, my cat was sleeping in the sun.

-Om aan te geven dat er op een gegeven moment iets anders gebeurde;

I was reading the papers, when all of a sudden my cat jumped onto my lap.
