No loose gravel should be

revealed from the floor of the

parking lot, when you turn the

wheels on your still standing 2 ton

vehicle. Strangely enough the

floor on many parking lots often

possess the same characteristics as

a highway does, which is not

exactly what a floor of a parking

lot needs.

The slow but intense traffic causes

the tyres to squeeze the surface,

ripping pieces of it off. But not on

an Ulfcar® solution, because all

materials are integrated into one

Indoor and outdoor car park

constructions are exposed to

temperature changes caused by

weather changes.

Consequently car park coatings

must be temperature resistant,

flexible and bridge building to be

able to follow the movements of

the subfloor.

Likewise the coatings must be

impervious to water and

chemically resistant to snow

melting chemicals, motor oil,

petrol, diesel fuel etc.

Ulfcar® Park Deck Premium Specification of Polycrete® Premium Park Deck System. The following details the requirements for a Solvent Free Polyurethane seamless lightweight multi-layered system.

This information and all further techinical advice is based on our present knowledge and experience. Performance of the product described herein should be verified by testing, which should be carried out by only qualified experts in the sole responsability of a customer. Substrate requirements and surface preperationAll new concrete surfaces, a minimum twentyeight days old, shall be shot blasted by enclosed machine to remove any laitance and then vacuumed. Deep hollows indents or other unacceptable defects in concrete surfaces to be made good prior to the application of the ULFCAR® Park Deck as directed by the engineer using ULFCAR® compensation coat. Brickwork, dense concrete blocks, etc, shall be flush pointed with -defects made good by the contractor.

Priming Premix the POLYCRETE® Hardener into POLYCRETE® LVP primer. The mixture is applied to the flooring either by squeegee and/or roller. Make sure anchorage grooves are not flooded with primer, as this will prevent the flooring from getting a good grip and hold onto the groove. Small holes and cracks in the concrete can be repaired during the priming by simply adding sand / Aerosil to the primer and using it as a thin/thick mortar. Concrete day joints and larger cracks should be filled with a flexible jointing compound using ULFCAR® FILLER.Apply a full blinding of ULFCAR® quartz 20 – 80’s immediately cast into wet film primer. (Approx

3.00 kg/m2). Allow to cure for 6-8 hours or overnight.Vacuum and sweep blinded surface to remove all non-bonded aggregates.

Flexible membraneMix 5 kg of the POLYCRETE® Hardener into 15 kg of POLYCRETE® SD.Squeegee the mix evenly onto the primed surface in a 2 mm layer thickness.

WearlayerMix 3.5 kg of the POLYCRETE® Hardener into 20 kg of POLYCRETE® SLR.Add bauxite as much as possible while still maintaining good application properties and mix thoroughly. The bauxite quantity will largely depend on grain size.To obtain a 4-6 mm. finished flooring, the slurry should be layed with a rake set to 5 mm.Finish by scattering bauxite untill just dry surface (no wet patches).Spiked shoes may be used, as the slurry runs easely together again.

SealingNow proceed, using a carborundum stone to remove defects from the flooring. These would typically occur at joints between flooring and coving, around drains, doorsteps, and day

joints. The floor is, after cleaning, now ready to be coated.

First sealcoatMix 3.5 kg of the POLYCRETE® Hardener into 20 kg of POLYCRETE® SLR. Pour out the mix onto the floor, distributing it with a rubber squeegee while pressing quite strongly downwards on the handle. Crossroll with a medium shag roller. Spiked shoes are again permitted without causing marks.

Second coatTo obtain normal slip resistance grind the surface and sweep/ vacuum carefully before applying second seal coat. If extra slipresistancy is reguired it is not necessary to grind he surface.Apply second coat.

Free for traffic24 hours shall be allowed for opening completed areas to foot traffic and 72 hours for vehicular traffic. Application of all materials to be strictly in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions:

Priming Premix the POLYCRETE® Hardener into POLYCRETE® LVP primer. The mixture is applied to the flooring either by squeegee and/or roller. Make sure anchorage grooves are not flooded with primer, as this will prevent the flooring from getting a good grip and hold onto the groove. Small holes and cracks in the concrete can be repaired during the priming by simply adding sand / Aerosil to the primer and using it as a thin/thick mortar. Concrete day joints and larger cracks should be filled with a flexible jointing compound using ULFCAR® FILLER.Apply a full blinding of ULFCAR® quartz 20 – 80’s immediately cast into wet film primer. (Approx

3.00 kg/m2). Allow to cure for 6-8 hours or overnight.Vacuum and sweep blinded surface to remove all non-bonded aggregates.

WearlayerMix 3.5 kg of the POLYCRETE® Hardener into 20 kg of POLYCRETE® SLR.Add bauxite as much as possible while still maintaining good application properties and mix thoroughly. The bauxite quantity will largely depend on grain size.To obtain a 4-6 mm. finished flooring, the slurry should be layed with a rake set to 5 mm.Finish by scattering bauxite untill just dry surface (no wet patches).Spiked shoes may be used, as the slurry runs easely together again.

SealingNow proceed, using a carborundum stone to remove defects from the flooring. These would typically occur at joints between flooring and coving, around drains, doorsteps, and day joints. The floor is, after cleaning, now ready to be coated.

First sealcoatMix 3.5 kg of the POLYCRETE® Hardener into 20 kg of POLYCRETE® SLR. Pour out the mix onto the floor, distributing it with a rubber

squeegee while pressing quite strongly downwards on the handle. Crossroll with a medium shag roller. Spiked shoes are again permitted without causing marks.

Second coatTo obtain normal slip resistance grind the surface and sweep/ vacuum carefully before applying second seal coat. If extra slipresistancy is reguired it is not necessary to grind he surface.Apply second coat.

Free for traffic24 hours shall be allowed for opening completed areas to foot traffic and 72 hours for vehicular traffic. Application of all materials to be strictly in accordance with manufacturer’s instructions:

Ulfcar® Park Deck EconomySpecification of Polycrete® Economy Park Deck System. The following details the requirements for a Solvent Free Polyurethane seamless lightweight multi-layered system.

Substrate requirements and surface preperationAll new concrete surfaces, a minimum twentyeight days old, shall be shot blasted by enclosed machine to remove any laitance and then vacuumed. Deep hollows indents or other unacceptable defects in concrete surfaces to be made good prior to the application of the ULFCAR® Park Deck as directed by the engineer using ULFCAR® compensation coat. Brickwork, dense concrete blocks, etc, shall be flush pointed with -defects made good by the contractor.
