• In 2015 Allerton Grange was the 3rd most improved school across Leeds.

External reviews in 2015-16:The newly appointed headteacher has had a significant

impact in a very short space of time. As a result of his

unwavering commitment to improvement, clarity of

vision and determination to improve the outcomes for all

students, expectations have risen, accountability has

increased and many aspects of the school’s work are

already showing signs of significant improvement.

Students are generally well mannered, friendly towards each other and adults and take pride in their school. They behave appropriately as they move around the building and in the vast majority of lessons. Those spoken with said that behaviour is much better since the

arrival of the new headteacher and the implementation of the new behaviour policy. – B11 Review December 2015

Did you know??At Allerton Grange …….• We are full in every year group and have a

waiting list for Year 7.

• We have a student care team of 26 non-teaching, full time professionals who are available from 8.15-4.15.

• We encourage all students to learn a musical instrument and instrumental lessons are subsidised by 60%!!

• We deliver a whole school theatrical production every term.

• 25% of all students are in the school leadership programme after its first year.

• More able students perform just as well or better than other local schools. (see for yourself)

What next? (School Development Plan 2016-17)• Secure better than expected progress for all

groups of students.• Further improve the quality of teaching.• Improve communication with parents.• Develop a more user friendly reporting

system.• Improve the frequency and application of

homework.• Even greater parental engagement. • Promote Allerton Grange more effectively

within the local community.
