May 3rd- Cinco de Mayo celebration 9:00-11:00 Come and join the fun!May 9th-10th- Mrs. Cronce is out of the building Mrs. Burd will be our Guest Teacher!May 31st- Save the date! Field trip to Pine River Nature Center: 9-noon More to come!

We can make a difference! Our school-wide recycling endeavor has been a success, thanks to the help of Mrs. Lewandowski. Her video helped us educate the students ofThomas Edison on the importance of reducing their carbon footprints. Edison will nowbecome a paper-recycling school! I am so proud to be a member of The Green Team!

In an effort to continue to recognize diversity, we will be celebrating Cinco de Mayo onFriday, May 3rd. Join us in the festivities! Our Cinco de Mayo committee will be bringing ingoodies, so there is no need for any donations. This is a fun morning full of food, learning,

dancing, crafting, and more! Ole! ** The Bare Books are coming back into the classroom nicely and we have already heardsome of our Guest Authors read them to us! Continue to help your children put themtogether at home. Id like to have all of the books turned in by NEXT FRIDAY in order forour campers to be able to read them to us. Also, be sure to encourage your author as s/heputs the book together in his/her own fashion. Its so neat how all of the students took homethe same, plain, white book, but how different all of them have turned out when they comeback in. We have been very entertained when theyve been read to us, and Im quitepleased with how this project has turned out! Great job on this, everyone!

Your children will tell you that they have very unusual homework this week. Your ears are

hearing them correctly when they tell you that Mrs. Cronce needs worms! Ha ha! Wehave created a decomposition bin at Camp Cronce in an effort to see more clearly what alandfill is really like. We have buried several things into this landfill and will open ourdecomposition bin in about a month to see what decomposed. (Thus the need for worms,or decomposers) Be sure to ask your camper all about it during your Table Talk!

Looking forward to the week ahead,
