Dear families~ February 7th, 2014

The following homework is due by THURSDAY, February 13th:

Begin collecting pictures for your All About Me timeline (Due 2/20)

Have your child read to you and then record it on the Feb Book-It form.

Do one session of ScootPad Spelling, Math, and Reading

Study our new Word Wall Words and review ones from past weeks Finish your valentine cards for the party (class list is on the protopage)

Our new SPELLING WORDS are:

This weeks new SWEET SENTENCE:

Feb 10th

- 8:30-11:00 FIELD TRIP to PHN to see The TEDY (Thomas EdisonDrama Youth) Performance of: The Rockin Tale of Snow White We will bebused to this free play, so no drivers are needed.

Feb 13th

- day of school (We will have our Valentines party/100th Daycelebrations that morning. Be sure to check the protopage for a completelisting of our class names. Students should be the ones doing the writing, too!)

Feb 14-17th-NO SCHOOL due to Mid-Winter Break

All About Me: In Social Studies, we will begin learning more about the concept of past,present, and future. To represent this, we will make a personal timeline of ourselves.

This does NOT have to become a huge project for your child, just one that representseach year of his/her life. Photos may be displayed in any fashion, but must contain thechilds age in each picture. Parents may HELP, but the layout/decorating/writing is tobe done by the students only. This project is due by THURSDAY, February 20th. We

will be sharing our timelines with the class, as well as our 5 thgrade Book Buddies!

TABLE TALK: Ask your camper, Show me a teen number with ten and ones. (Forexample, 24would be two tens and 4 ones. Continue to quiz your camper with othernumbers.) Tell me about the Scientific Process your class used to do the experimenton the 3 states of matter.

Help me congratulate your camper on his/her homework efforts! Our campers arereally making every effort to do their homework and have it turned in on time. Yourcontinued help is needed with this, though, so continue to use the above checklist to stayinformed on whats due and when. Werepulling toward 2ndgrade quite nicely!
