Parent Induction 2019
Who we are? ‘Our Identity’
The Identity of Teesside has been forged over the decades through the Steel Making Industry. It is in the opinion of the local people that local industry has said to helped mould , Hard working, Honest, Resilient and Gritty people who are exceptionally skilled at turning raw materials into refined marketable products of quality standing and value. We at Teesside Girls Regional Talent Club are proud of our local area and ‘who we are’ and aim to become a flagship for the local community, cultivating positive human qualities in all who are involved. We aim to develop raw talented young female players forging them into ‘good people’ who have quality standing and value.

Reflection
Reflection on action takes place via individual and team reviews by both player and coaches a few days after the event.
Reflection in action takes place via questioning, scenario based challenges, whole part whole approaches.
Video analysis, peer assessment and assessment of learning based upon the components of the four corners within action.
Looking at the event from different perspectives e.g. the coach, the player or the scenario and setting appropriate and realistic short term and long term challenges. These are connected and used within the appraisals.

Player conduct• How Teesside RTC players conduct themselves is very important, please
ensure you respect the badge at all times.• This includes in and around training venues, match day venues, on the bus,
(u14/16) stoppages (services) and around other RTCs and Teams. • Being respectful, humble, making healthy food choices and professional in your
manor is a minimal. • Players and Parents must be mindful of members of the general public sharing
match or training facilities.• Playing for an RTC brings many responsibilities/standards and one of these is
professionalism in the RTC, school and in the community.
Parent expectations• Your child’s success or lack of success in sport does not reflect what kind
of parent you are: But having a player that is coachable, respectful, a great teammate, mentally tough, resilient and tries their best is a direct reflection of your support.
• The players are extremely lucky to have the coaches they do within this program, please trust their work and allow them to try and develop your daughter to the best of their ability.
• It is proven that players feel under pressure in front of parents to perform and get things right, we want players to be able to express themselves, make mistakes and enjoy their experience therefore ask parents to stay within the building during training nights.
Parent expectations• As an RTC we like to share all our plans, visions, sessions with our parents.
• We ask that parents on a match day to continue to encourage all players but keep all match related comments amongst themselves. Shouting on the pitch to try influence player performance only hinders their development, stops them thinking for themselves and adds pressure. Sometimes this information also contradicts what the coach has asked of the team/player therefore over active parents will not be tolerated and appropriate actions will be taken.
• We are very lucky as an RTC that our parents share our visions and values and very supportive in everything we do so want to thank you in advance for this, if anyone would like any advice in how to support their child further we are more than willing to discuss.
Kit• Players should report wearing their Club tracksuit to all Matches.• Players are requested to wear this to travel to and from the game in (no
shorts or additional leisure wear). Players must wear full training wear t-shirt, shorts, socks + Rain Jacket/Tracksuit jacket if needed.
• Players are required to bring with them to all matches and training nights shin-guards, trainers (no flipflops), two types of boots to cover all surfaces.
• Players are also responsible for their own nutrition Pre & Post training and matches, packing things such as milk based drinks to aid recovery, correct nutritional snacks for the travel is a must.
Equipment• ALL AGE GROUPS; Each player must purchase a diary, this diary must
be blank to use throughout the season, and have a folder to hold the diary to keep this safe/protected from weather. This will be handed to the age group coach each week.
• U14/16; MUST have a resistant band (Issued from Matt Wright) and Foam Roller- bring in football bag to each Session/Match & S&C. These are player responsibility therefore must have names on each piece of equipment.
