    Psalm 11 Blessed is

    the man that

    hath not

    walked in the

    counsel of the

    ungodly, nor

    stood in the

    way of

    sinners: and

    hath not sat in

    the seat of the

    scornful. But

    his delight is

    in the law of

    the Lord: and

    in his law will

    he exercisehimself day

    and night.

    2 And he shall

    be like a tree

    planted by the

    water-side:

    that will bring

    forth his fruit

    in due

    season. Hisleaf also shall

    not wither:

    and look,

    whatsoever

    he doeth, it

    shall prosper.

    3 As for the

    ungodly, it is

not available Psalm 11 Blessed the

    man who has

    not walked in

    the counsel of

    the wicked

    and has not

    stood on the

    path of the

    sinful and has

    not sat at the

    seat of the

    pestilent, but

    who delights

    in the law of

    the Lord and

    will meditate

    upon his lawday and night.

    2 And he shall

    be as a tree

    that is planted

    near the

    runways of

    waters that

    shall yield its

    fruit in due

    season and itsleaves shall

    not fall; and in

    whatever he

    does he shall

    succeed.

    3 Not so the

    wicked, not

    so: they are

    Psalm 11 Blessed is the

    man who does

    not go by the

    advice of the

    godless and

    does not stop

    in the way of

    sinners and

    does not sit in

    the company of

    pests [or"pestilent people"

    (gen. plural). Gk.

    loimos = plague,

    pest of people or

    disease; as

    adjective,

    pestilent].2 But his

    delight [Gk.thelma = will,

    delight, pleasure

    (Eccles. 12:1 LXX;

    Rev. 4:11).] is in

    the law of the

    Lord, and he

    will reflect [or

    "meditate"] on

    His law day

    and night.

    3 And he will be

    like a tree that

    is planted

    alongside

    streams of

    water, which

    Psalm 1 1 Blessed is

    the man that

    hath not

    walked in the

    counsel of the

    ungodly, nor

    stood in the

    way of sinners,

    nor sat in the

    seat of the

    pestilent. But

    his will is

    rather in the

    law of the

    Lord, and in

    His law will he

    meditate dayand night.

    2 And he shall

    be like the tree

    which is

    planted by the

    streams of the

    waters, which

    shall bring

    forth its fruit in

    its season;and its leaf

    shall not fall,

    and all things

    whatsoever he

    may do shall

    prosper.

    3 Not so are

    the ungodly,

    Psalm 1 1 Blessed is

    the man who

    has not

    walked in the

    counsel of

    the ungodly,

    and has not

    stood in the

    way of

    sinners, and

    has not sat in

    the seat of

    evil men.

    2 But his

    pleasure is in

    the law of the

Lord; and inhis law will he

    meditate day

    and night.

    3 And he

    shall be as a

    tree planted

    by the brooks

    of waters,

    which shall

    yield its fruitin its season,

    and its leaf

    shall not fall

    off; and

    whatsoever

    he shall do

    shall be

    prospered.

    not so with

    them: but they

    are like the

    chaff, which

    the wind

    scattereth

    away from the

    face of the

    earth.4 Therefore

    the ungodly

    shall not be

    able to stand

    in the

    judgment:

    neither the

    sinners in the

    congregation

    of therighteous.

    5 But the Lord

    knoweth the

    way of the

    righteous: and

    the way of the

    ungodly shall

    perish.

    like chaff,

    blown by the

    wind from the

    face of the

    earth.

    4 Therefore

    the wicked

    shall not stand

    as judges northe sinners in

    the counsel of

    the just,

    5 For the Lord

    knows the way

    of the just, but

    the way of the

    wicked shall

    be lost.

    will give its fruit

    in its season

    and will not

    shed its leaves.

    4 Andeverything,

    whatever he

    does, will

    prosper. Not soare the

    godless, not

    so. But they

    are like the

    dust which the

    wind hurls from

    the face of the

    earth.

    5 So the

godless will notrise in time of

    judgment [i.e.,corrective

    judgments here

    on earth. Heb.

    has "the

    judgment" nor

    sinners in a

    council of the

    righteous.

6 For the Lordknows the way

    of the

    righteous. but

    the way of the

    godless will be

    destroyed.

    not so; but

    rather they are

    like the chaff

    which the wind

    doth hurl away

    from the face

    of the earth.

    4 For this

    reason shallthe ungodly

    not stand up in

    judgement,

    nor sinners in

    the council of

    the righteous.

    5 For the Lord

    knoweth the

    way of the

    righteous, andthe way of the

    ungodly shall

    perish.

    4 Not so the

    ungodly;-- not

    so: but rather

    as the chaff

    which the

    wind scatters

    away from

    the face of

    the earth.

    5 Therefore

    the ungodly

    shall not rise

    in judgment,

    nor sinners in

    the counsel

    of the just.

    6 For the

    Lord knows

    the way ofthe righteous;

    but the way

    of the

    ungodly shall

    perish.

    the rulers take

    counsel

    together:

    against the

    Lord, and

    against his

    Anointed.

    3 Let us break

    their bonds

    asunder: and

    cast away

    their cords

    from us.

    4 He that

    dwelleth in

    heaven shall

    laugh them to

    scorn: the

    Lord shallhave them in

    derision.

    5 Then shall

    he speak unto

    them in his

    wrath: and

    vex them in

    his sore

    displeasure.

6 Yet I haveset my King:

    upon my holy

    hill of Sion.

    7 I will preach

    the law,

    whereof the

    Lord hath said

    unto me:

    Thou art my

    Son, this day

    have I

    begotten

    thee.

    8 Desire of

    me, and I

    shall give thee

    the heathen

    for thine

    against the

    Lord and his

    Anointed One.

    3 "Let us

    break their

    shackles and

    cast away

    their yoke

    from us!"

    4 He that

    dwells in

    heaven shall

    mock them,

    and the Lord

    shall make

    light of them.

    5 Then in his

    anger He shall

    speak to themand strike

    them in his

    wrath.

    6 It is I who

    was

    established

    king by Him

    on Sion, his

    holy mountain.

    Declaring theordinance of

    the Lord:

    7 the Lord

    said to me:

    "You are my

    son today

    have I

    begotten you.

    8 Ask Me and

    I shall give

    you nations as

    your lot and

    the ends of

    the earth as

    your domain.

    9 You shall

    rule them with

    an iron rod

    2 The kings of

    the earth stood

    up and the

    rulers were

    gathered

    together

    against the

    Lord and

    against His

    Christ.

    3 "Let us break

    their chains[Kings, rulers,

    peoples see God

    & Christ as 2

    enemies: "Let usthrow off their..."]

    and let us

    throw off their

yoke from us."4 He who lives

    in the heavens

    will laugh at

    them and the

    Lord will deride

    them.

    5 Then He will

    talk to them in

    His anger and

    in His rage Hewill trouble

    them.

    6 But I am

    appointed King

    by Him on Zion

    His holy

    mountain,

    7 proclaiming

    the Lord's

    commandment.The Lord said

    to Me, "You are

    My Son. Today

    I have begotten

    You.

    8 "Ask from Me

    5 Then shallHe speak unto

    them in His

    wrath, and in

    His anger shall

    He trouble

    them.

    Me, I was

    established as

    king by Him,upon Sion His

    holy mountain,

    proclaiming

    the

    commandment

    of the Lord.

    7 The Lord

    through their

    bonds, and

    cast away

    their yoke

    4 He that

    dwells in the

    heavens shall

    laugh them to

    mock them.

    5 Then shall

    he speak to

    them in his

    anger, and

    trouble them

in his fury.6 But I have

    been madeking by him

    on Sion his

    holy

    mountain,

    7 declaring

    the ordinance

    of the Lord:

    10 Be wisenow

    ye kings: be

    11 Serve theLord in fear:

    and rejoice

    unto him with

    12 Kiss the

    so ye perish

    from the right

    but a little,)

    blessed are

    all they that

    put their trust

    in him.

    and smash

    10 And now,you kings, be

    attentive; be

    instructed, you

    judges of the

    earth:

    11 Serve theLord with fear,

    exult in Him

    with trembling;

    12 Accept hisdiscipline lest

    the Lord be

    angry and you

    perish fromthe way of

    blessed shall

    be those who

    trust in Him!

    for your

    inheritance and

    the ends of the

    earth for your

    possession.

9 "You will rulethem with a rod

    of iron11 and

    crush them like

    a potter's

    10 And nowyou kings,

    understand! Be

    corrected, all

    you judges of

    the earth.

    11 erve the

    Lord with fearand rejoice in

    Him with

    trembling.

    12 Embracecorrection in

    case the Lord

    becomes angry

    and you perish

    out of the right

    way.13 Whensuddenly His

    anger is

    kindled,

    blessed are all

    who trust in

    Him.

    inheritance,

    and the

    uttermost

    parts of the

    earth for Thy

    possession.

    9 Thou shaltherd them with

    a rod of iron;

    Thou shalt

    shatter them

    like a potters

    vessels.

    10 And now, Oye kings,

    understand;

    be instructed,

    all ye that

    judge theearth.

    11 Serve yethe Lord with

    fear, and

    rejoice in Him

    with trembling.

    12 Lay hold ofinstruction, lest

    at any time the

    Lord be angry,and ye perish

    from the

    righteous way.

    13 Whenquickly His

    wrath be

    kindled,

    blessed are all

    that have put

    their trust in

    Him.

    inheritance,

    and the ends

    of the earth

    for thy

    possession.

    9 Thou shaltrule them

    with a rod of

    iron; thou

    shalt dash

    them in

    pieces as a

    potter's

    10 Nowtherefore

    understand,

    ye kings: be

    instructed, allye that judge

    the earth.

    11 Serve theLord with

    fear, and

    rejoice in him

    with

    12 Accept

    correction,lest at any

    time the Lord

    be angry, and

    ye should

    perish from

    the righteous

    way:

    of my soul:

    3 But You, O

    around:

    Protector, myglory and the

    One lifting up

    5 I cried out to

    the Lord with

    my voice, and

6 I lay down torest and slept. I

    7 I will not be

    afraid of

6 I will not beafraid of ten

    of the people

    come about

    thee: for their

    sakes therefore

    lift up thyselfagain.

    8 The Lord shall

    judge the

    people; give

    sentence with

    me, O Lord:

    according to my

    righteousness,

    and according to

    the innocencythat is in me.

    9 O let the

    wickedness of

    the ungodlycome to an end:

    but guide thouthe just.

    10 For the

    righteous God:

    trieth the very

    hearts and reins.11 My help

    cometh of God:

who preserveththem that aretrue of heart.

    12 God is a

    righteous Judge,

    strong and

    patient: and God

    is provokedevery day.

    13 If a man will

    not turn, he will

    whet his sword:

    he hath bent his

    bow, and madeit ready.

    14 He hath

    prepared for him

    the instruments

    of death: he

    inmost feelings!

    10 Rightful is my

    help from God

    who save the

    upright in heart.

    11 God the just

    Judge, strong

    and patient, not

    inflicting

    vengeance

    every day

    12 Shall furbish

    his sword lest

    you return. He

    has bent his bow

    and made it

    ready;

    13 He has fitted

it with the toolsof death; he has

    set up his arrow

    against those

    who burn.

    14 Behold man

    travailing in

    wickedness: he

    conceived pain

    and brought

    forth iniquity.15 He has

    opened a pit and

    covered it up: he

    shall fall into the

    very hole he

    dug.

    16 His pain shall

    return upon his

    head and his

    wickedness fall

    back upon his

    skull.

    17 I shall give

    thanks to the

    Lord according

    to his justice and

    sing to the name

    of the Lord Most

    according to my

    righteousness

    and according to

    the innocencethat is in me.

    10 Let the

    wickedness of

    sinners come to

    an end, but

    guide the just

    and righteous. It

    is God Who tests

    our hearts andminds [Lit.

    "kidneys, reins"].

    11 Just and right

    is my help from

    God Who saves

    the straight andhonest-hearted.

    12 God is a just

    judge, strong

    and patient, and

    not inflicting

    judgment everyday.

    13 If you do not

    repent He will

    polish His sword;He has strung

    His bow andmade it ready.

    14 And with it He

    has prepared

    the weapons of

    death, He has

    forged His

    arrows for those

who are burning.15 See a sinner

    in the labor

    pains of

    wrongdoing! He

    conceives

    trouble and

    gives birth tolawlessness.

    righteousness,

    and according to

    mine innocence

    within me.9 Let the

    wickedness of

    sinners be

    ended, and do

    Thou guide the

    righteous man, O

    God, that

    searchest out the

    hearts and reins.10 Righteous is

    my help from

    God, Who saveth

    them who are

    upright of heart.

11 God is a judgethat is righteous,

    strong and

    forbearing, and

    inflicteth not

wrath every day.12 Unless ye be

    converted, His

    glittering sword

    shall He furbish;

He hath bent Hisbow, and hath

made it ready.13 And on it He

    hath made ready

    the instruments

    of death, His

    arrows for them

    that rage hotly

    hath He

    perfected.14 Behold, he

    was in travail with

    unrighteousness,

    he hath

    conceived toil

    and brought forth

    iniquity.15 He opened a

    according to my

    mouth of very

    babes and

    sucklings hast

    thou ordained

    strength,

    because of thine

    enemies: that

    thou mightest

    still the enemy

and the avenger.3 For I will

    consider thy

    heavens, even

    the works of thy

    fingers: the

    moon and the

    stars, which thouhast ordained.

4 What is man, that thou art

    mindful of him:

    and the son of

    man, that thouvisitest him?

    5 Thou madest

    him lower than

    the angels: to

    crown him with

    glory andworship.

    6 Thou makest

    him to have

    dominion of the

    works of thy

    hands: and thou

    hast put all

    things in

    subjection underhis feet;

    7 All sheep and

    oxen: yea, and

    the beasts of thefield;

    8 The fowls of

    the air, and the

    fishes of the sea:

    and whatsoever

    the sake of your

    enemies, to

    destroy the

    enemy andavenger.

    3 For I will look

    to the heavens,

    the work of your

    fingers, to the

    moon and stars

You have set up.4 What is man

    that You should

    be mindful of

    him, or the son

    of man, that You

    should visit him?5 You have

made him a littlelower than the

    angels, crowning

    him with glory

    and honor; And

    you have

    established him

    over the worksof your hands:

    6 YOu have put

all things underhis feet, All of

    the sheep and

    oxen, yes, even

    the beasts of thefield,

    7 The birds of

    the sky and the

    fishes of the sea

    that move along

    ocean pathways.8 O Lord, our

    Lord, how

    wonderful your

    name in all the

    earth!

    3 Out of the

    mouth of babes

    and infants You

    have prepared

    for Yourselfpraise

    4 because of

    Your enemies, to

    destroy the

    enemy and theavenger.

    5 When I see the

    heavens, the

    work of Your

    fingers, the

    moon and the

    stars which Youhave poised,

    6 what is manthat You

    remember him,

    or a son of man

    that You visithim?

    7 You made him

    a little lower than

    the angels, You

    crowned him

    with glory andhonor,

    8 You set him

    over the works

    of Your hands,

    You put

    everything underhis feet:

    9 all sheep and

    cattle, and also

    the beasts of thefield,

    10 the birds of

    the sky and the

    fish of the sea,

    and the things

    that go through

    the paths of the

    seas. how

    because of Thine

    enemies, to

    destroy the

    enemy andavenger.

    3 For I will behold

    the heavens, the

    works of Thy

    fingers, the moon

    and the stars,

    which Thou hastfounded.

    4 What is man,

    that Thou art

    mindful of him?

    Or the son of

    man, that Thouvisitest him?

5 Thou hastmade him a little

    lower than the

    and honour hast

    Thou crowned

    him, and Thou

    hast set him over

    oxen, yea, and

    the beasts of thefield,

    7 The birds of the

    air, and the fish

    of the sea, the

    things that pass

    through thepaths of the sea.

    8 O Lord, our

    Lord, how

    wonderful is Thy

    name in all the

    earth!

    because of thine

    enemies; that

    thou mightest put

    down the enemyand avenger.

    3 For I will regard

    the heavens, the

    work of thy

    fingers; the moon

    and stars, which

    thou hastestablished.

    4 What is man,

    that thou art

    mindful of him?

    or the son of

    man, that thouvisitest him?

5 Thou madesthim a little less

    than angels, thou

    hast crowned

    him with gloryand honour;

    6 and thou hast

    set him over the

    works of thy

    put all thingsunder his feet:

    8 the birds of the

    of the sea, the

    creatures

    passing through

    the paths of thesea.
