Necto offers you a full web experience with true self - service features in a single governed web interface. By using Necto you also value from:

Fast ROI with a unique Development method. Automated insights, Suggestiveness and Collaboration in context. . Notifier (scheduling mechanism) that can be defined by any business user and that can be triggered by

exceptions. Data analysis that is supported by astonishing Infographic visualizations.

Although Pyramid Analytics is fully web enabled, the development on the web is split into sections of “Data discovery” (creation of views), “Dashboard” and “Publisher”. This holds back the ROI. It also lacks some basic BI fundamentals such as drag & drop in order to slice & dice and easy drill up/down a hierarchy in a grid.

Topic Necto Pyramid

Visual – The ability to view insights and analytical business processes in the business own language with limitless visualization.

In Necto, business users can visualize their insights and their business processes with a full infographic suite. Necto has more than 2000 Infographics in its library, while you can add any other visualization simply & quickly from the web.

Pyramid supports only basic infographics.

Suggestive –The BI system should recommend to the user the most relevant insight to focus on.

Necto Suggestive Discovery engine recommends to the users the most relevant insights to focus on, based on personal preferences and user’s behavior. This includes personal recommendations for Workboards, people & insights.

Can recommend on other relevant dashboards with similar topics.

Automated Analysis – the ability of business users to find insights automatically and quickly.

Necto supports full Exception handing capabilities- including bubble up exception, automated insights, root cause analysis, and defined exceptions. With Necto a business user can find insights and its root cause in just 2 clicks.

BI Collaboration in context – the ability for users to collaborate in context, on data and insight, and make better decisions.

Necto supports fully collaborative decision making capabilities in context. A user can collaborate with his colleagues to make business decisions in real time.

A user can create a new discussion with other user\group or leave a note to himself, on a component level only and not on a data cell level.

Cost – total cost of ownership for the first deployment and for users’ growth within your organization.

Necto provides a web server + clients from the get go, hence the price to start the deployment and the price to grow is very competitive.

It will cost you ~$10K for 10 “view only” users and 5 analysts.

Notifications & Alerts – the ability for an end user to define his own notifications and alerts within the system.

Necto provides the business users with the ability to define alerts and notifications within the system based on time, thresholds, exceptions, etc – all this in just of 2 clicks.

Pyramid gives the ability to get reports by mail on pre-defined schedules or based on the data changes. But can be only defined by admin users.

Governed – a system which is very easy to manage. Fully web based with just one web client (no desktop) that keeps one version of the truth.

Necto maintains a single version of the truth in a single Web interface. There is no need for Desktop deployment that creates data silos and many versions of the truth. All the Necto applications run in a single user interface that requires minimal training

Web interfaced system. Has three parts – Data Discovery (reporting, used to be Bio-XL), Dashboard (used to be Bio-Point) and the publishing section.

Dashboard developing and maintaining effort – a fast ROI with the ability to quickly apply changes and easiness of redesigning.

The Necto concept is a development on a Single Web Interface. This enables more flexibility for developers and for end user. In this way –while developing a couple of components, you see how your changes reflect the other components in the same Workboard, without moving between environments, and without the need to save components in one environment to publish them.

The Pyramid structure of having a number of sections, instead of one, makes it more difficult to create and maintain Dashboards. In order to create a Dashboard that contains a couple of views, you will have to use the data discovery section, create a book, then the views, to consume them in the Dashboard. Once you want to redesign a Dashboard - you have to move back to the data discovery section to redesign your views, and then move to the Dashboard to re-consume the changes, and see how it reflected in the dashboard.

Gartner Magic Quadrant for Business Intelligence and Analytics Platforms, Feb 2015.

1. Enterprise readiness. 2. High reference scores on

critical customer experience metrics for support and product quality.

1. SMB readiness only. 2. Reliability and stability

issues.

Other concerns 1. OEM readiness with a wide range of API support and SDK.

2. Ability to add new data sources that are not out of the box.

3. Geo solution support ESRI on premise or cloud.

4. Enhanced modeling layer.

1. Some API’s not ready for OEM.

2. Not able to add more data sources than the out of the box data sources.

3. Geo solution does not support ESRI.

4. Modeling layer in its early stages.
