API Ketema offers a complete line of Acme packaged chillers for direct or indirect cooling of plating lines. Packages are available with scroll, reciprocating, or screw compressors. For hard coat anodizing lines, Acme chillers can be equipped with 316 stainless steel evapo- rators for direct acid cooling, increasing system effi- ciency and reducing costs. Acme acid chillers are avail- able for hard coat anodizing lines from 300 to 10,000 A and 30°F acid temperature control. Acme chillers can be air cooled, water cooled, or equipped as split systems. Options include integral pumps, surge tanks, in-tank immersion plates, and close temperature control meth- ods. Applied Thermal’s new chiller product line, the HMTD Series, consists of Model HMTD-Xl, with a 2- to 5-ton capacity over 20 to 60°F coolant supply tem- perature range; Model HMTD- lOTl,6- to 11 -ton capac- ity at 30 to 65°F supply temperature range; Model HMTD-16T2, 9- to 17-ton capacity at 30 to 65°F tem- perature range; and the HMTD-20T2, 12- to 22-ton capacity at 30 to 65°F supply temperature range. Each model is available with air- or water-cooled hermetic- type compressors. They may be installed outdoors or indoors. Other design features include energy-saving staging of the multiple compressors (Models HMTD- 16T2 and HMTD-20T2) to coincide with low to mod- erate and high heat-load conditions; use of compact and efficient brazed-plate heat exchangers; and accurate thermostat-type temperature controls. Stainless steel wa- ter/coolant reservoir tanks are optional with all models. Regular tap or distilled water, as well as mixtures of ethylene or propylene glycol, may be used in the HMTD chillers as the coolant medium.
