  • Description:A brochure designed to advertise a jewelry company called Island silver.

    Date:March 29, 2015

    Course Instructor:Cory Kerr

    Program(s):Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and Indesign.

Objectives:Set up and align a two-sided, folded document.

Process:Adobe Illustrator was used to design a treasure chest and palm tree logo. I then took pictures of rings and other jewelry and masked them in photoshop.

All of these were then placed into Indesign and were laid out into a brochure format using guide lines and rulers.

After printing two copies of this brochure to adjust some minor problems with the treasure chest lining up, it was complete. Having the front cover be a vector shape helped immensely.

    Program(s):Adobe Photoshop

Objectives:Learn to blend two or more images together gradually, using masks.

Demonstrate more advanced Photoshop skills for layout with multiple elements.Select good quality images.

Process:Both of the images were masked in Photoshop and put into a background of a dirty wall. A filter was used to give the background a foggy look. Paint was put behind the text to give it more contrast.Using another mask I brushed off half of the image where the text went, which actually was a happy little accident, as Bob Ross would say.
